When I first went tanning here, I loved the prices as they were affordable and the beds were nice. I asked to freeze my tanning plan over the summer and the workers helped me to do so. I was still charged every month, even know though I froze my plan and was not using the beds. The manager was never there so I had to talk to workers who didn't know what they were doing. The manager gave me the run around to get my money back. It's over 3 months later, and I still have not received anything. DO NOT waste your time here!!! They will rob you!!! Save yourself the hassle and money and tan somewhere else. This place is absolute garbage!!!

California Tanning Has the Best Beds AROUND! Not to mention its the cleanest salon I have ever been in. I Attend college at PSU so it is great to see a place that has prices the fit in my budget. They always have the best Tanning lotions =] Love this place.

Signed up for eft, $21.99 a month, had the membership for a year and they started fraudulently charging my account $75.00 over a period of 4 months until I discovered it. I cancelled my membership and they were supposed to send me a refund check for $220.00. That was two months ago, I never got my refund and the management there has been rude and beligerant, never providing any assistance to assist with the refund.

I have tanned in every salon in state college, this is hands down the best tanning salon. Beds are great and the staff is friendly and helpful.

I'm a college student at penn state, it's so nice to see an affordable ,clean & friendly salon so far from home.

I've been tanning at California Tanning Express since it opened, and I've experienced nothing but exceptional customer service. All of the employees are friendly, and are very knowladgeable. The salon is the cleanest I've ever been to, and I strongly recommened it to everyone. I'll defintely be tanning at this location for as long as I tan.

When this salon opened, I almost cried tears of joy. After spending four years in State College with "Ultimate" Tans and The Bronze (If you're interested in sweat, dirty beds, and impetigo, check it out), this was a sigh of relief. 14 of the newest, higher end beds (With rumors of the Matrix, and entirely HP bed coming this fall), always cleaned for you by trained employees, WITH AIR CONDITIONING, and wide selection of AG and DS Lotions, in addition to some great sunless products, there's no question where I'll be tanning for the rest of my time in State College. Thank you California Tanning for bringing the true tanning experience to State College.

Poor service. The receptionist was extremely rude and not helpful at all. My sister wanted a tan for her first prom and when she initially went in to schedule her spray tan appointment, she called me and asked me to accompany her to the actual appointment because the receptionist was so intimidating. Very disappointing. She was then rude to me when I went in with my little sister, asking me if I wanted to schedule anything. When I told her I was just there for my sister, she replied flatly, "Fine."

It's great to finally have an upscale tanning salon in state college.
