This little diner has been around "forever". Refusing to be pushed out or into the next century. It's sweet & just like old times. The staff is friendly. The food is good and prices are very reasonable. I think the poster who said he was treated rudely, must have gotten Tom on the phone. He IS the owner. He also happens to be in his 90's and hard of hearing. He probably DID think the guy was trying to sell him something! ha! He is far from rude, willing to chat it up with anyone that comes in to dine. He's been living on the beach nearly his entire life & can tell you great stories about the "old days". Lunch and great conversation, don't get that at too many places anymore.

One day I called and asked for an owner or a manager, just to see what their hours were because I was traveling and seen the description that Ms. Lisa left, which I strongly disagree with, and thought that I would give them a try, I had several questions to ask. All to only find out that when I called and asked for the owner or manager, the rude and arrogant man that answered the phone told me that there was no one there by that name. So I asked for Mr. Kirkpatrick, who is the person that was listed as the owner, and still the man tells me no one there by that name. I dont know if he thought I was just someone calling them to sell something or what the deal was but I will NEVER visit Gayles Restaurant!!!!!!!!! So if you want to be treated like a telemarketer and get hung up on by arrogant smart asses then this is the place for you. But I highly suggest otherwise!!!!!!!! They dont even deserve the one star I gave them!!!!!!!!!
