I wouldn't put my dying dog in this place. Facility is clean and maintenance staff is excellent. The front office staff is a joke and the nursing staff is very unprofessional. I enter through the front door upon arriving to visit my grandmother and each time I hear profanity as I walk by the offices. The nursing staff seems to care more about smoking than they do about the residents under their care.

If you are considering a nursing home for a family member, please consider Magnolia Square. It's at 1502 W Edgewood in Springfield. My late husband was a resident of Magnolia Square for 5 years. I visited him nearly every day and thus am in a position to know about the care. The nurses and CNA's are so knowledgeable and caring. He was never uncomfortable or in pain. They took such excellent care of him that I'm sure he lived much longer than he would have otherwise. I looked at many nursing homes when he was first injured, and I can tell you that this is the best one. You can trust the care of your loved one to Magnolia Square. They will be treated like family.
