Dr. Irvine is nice and may be a good doctor, but his office policies are not in the best interest of patient health. Their policy on prescription pre-authorization for insurance companies is that they will not complete a pre-auth under any circumstance. As if that wasn't bad enough, the office does not call to let you know they received a pre-auth request and will not be completing it. You have to find out from your pharmacy when you try to pick up the medication. Then the nurse chose not to call me back once the doctor had decided what to do. I was completely out of medication and having discontinuation side effects by the time I was finally able to get the nurse on the phone. Then she was rude with me because the side effects were making me extremely dizzy and I wasn't able provide the phone number for her immediately.
