Solid friendly honest

I've used Tire Rama (previously Alton's Tire) since 2006 for everything except factory warranty work: oil changes, radiator repair, brakes, tires, and "tuneups". I found them to be very competitive and friendly. I've never had any problems that they didn't fix within reason. They never overcharged me but they never worked for free. Well almost never. :) They changed from air to nitrogen in all four tires for free one time and have always topped off my fluids when I needed washer fluid between oil changes. Yes, I've spent about $6000 dollars there but my car was a 1995 Nissan Altima that needed lots of work, a 1998 Plymouth Voyager, and finally a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country. All of the work except one repair was done on the South Hill. I'd recommend them to anyone.

I have been taking my vehicles to the Northwest Blvd. Alton's Tire Rama since they opened it around 12-14 years ago (My previous knowledge of Alton's was based on friends that have gone to other locations). I have always found the store managers to be helpful and friendly and that they require it of their staff too. Their pricing has always been in line with other service centers I have used and one of the most refreshing aspects of this Alton's store has been their policy of being up-front with both my wife & I about anything they find that need's attention. They have always asked first before replacing any part or performing any service not on the original work order. They have my business!!

Alignment

I took my truck in for an alignment and they told me I needed 4 new shocks, a steering damper, wheel bearings repacked with seals and a "thrush" alignment. $630 in repair bill. I took it down the street to North West Tire ans Automotive and they said that the front end was fine, shocks were fine, wheel bearings fine and did the alignment for $45. Lesson learned.
