A couple of months ago I called Lee Air Services because the very expensive Trane heat pump they sold me had malfunctioned again. Their technician came out and charged me a diagnostic fee of $79, changed the air filter for another $40 bucks or so (which he said was the root cause of the problem because it was clogged with microscopic pet dander and was causing the unit to freeze up) and replaced a couple of parts including a capacitor in the outside unit under warranty that he said were bad.He also tried to tell me the outside unit needed to be hosed down and cleaned for an additional fee. He obviously hadn't even looked at it because I had meticulously sprayed it down and vacuumed out every speck of dust and debris the day before while trying to figure out what was wrong with it myself. He abandoned that "upsell" attempt as soon as I challenged him to show me any dirt or debris whatsoever in or on the unit.That night the unit malfunctioned again. The same technician came out the next day, and charged me another diagnostic fee and discovered that the drain line (which had been installed with the new system by Lee Air Services) was clogged and causing condensation backup to trip the safety switch.Since they didn't install the drain line with the proper slope angle, I now have to disconnect it once a month and flush it with draino and hot water to be sure it doesn't clog again. I'm going to have to have it ripped out and reinstalled fresh by a certified plumber.He quoted me over $400 to clear the line, but I cleared it myself in 10 minutes while he was still there.A year or so earlier we had a Lee Air Services technician out twice in the same week with multiple diagnostic fees before they determined the fan clutch was bad in the outside unit and replaced it under warranty.Yesterday the outside unit started making a loud buzzing noise, which I suspect is caused by a bad contactor relay switch. I called Lee Air Services and they said the earliest they could have someone on site would be 1 pm tomorrow. Then the lady who answered the phone went into their usual script of " I see you have a ten year warranty and just need to inform you that there is a $79 diagnostic fee and if the issue is caused by something like an animal getting into the outside unit the warranty doesn't cover that..." yada...yada...yada.I wanted to tell her that if a $10,000 plus AC unit made by Trane and installed by Lee Air Services has a problem because small animals can get into the unit that would be a serious design and/or installation flaw.We'll see whether my experience with them this afternoon affects my current perception either way.Regardless, I'll be calling Trane today to find another company to handle my AC warranty repairs before the next outage occurs.Stay away from Lee Air Services...they'll nickle and dime you to death.

Received an incorrect diagnosis of my AC system from this company. They replaced a part but the unit still did not work properly. Phone customer service was horrible and was unable to resolve matter with them. Rude manager onsite.

Like others my experience with this firm was beyond awful. Make sure you know what you are getting by validating with a second opinion. To quote their service manager "we don't fix problems, we install parts".

my a/c quit in the middle of the night, not good in this Texas heat. I called Lee Air Services because they advertise 24 hour service. They came out found my fan motor bad. They had one on the van and had my a/c working again. Not the cheapest but great friendly service, I will use them again.

Lee Air Service was very flexible in getting out to the appointment when it was most convenient for us. Marcus was very knowledgeable & honest. Problem was diagnosed & repaired quickly. Price was what was expected. Plan to use Lee Air Service in the future.

I've been a customer of Lee Air Service for 25 years. They have always lived up to their appointment times and honored any warranty work that was performed. Though they are not the cheapest, you should keep in mind that you get what you pay for particularly in HVAC companies; Lee Air Service outperforms others that my neighbors have used. The quality of their work, their continuous training from their manufacturers, politeness, reliability, and locally owned and operated for over 30 years are the traits that will always keep me as a customer. I've used them on weekends, holidays, and late at night. They're punctual and professional; something many companies sorely lack. Kudos to Lee Air Service for providing outstanding service--I'm a brand advocate!

We were very dissatisfied with Lee Air Service. They over priced me on labor and parts. My husband ended up putting the part in himself for half what Lee Air Service wanted to charge me. My husband ordered the part off the internet and it was shipped the next day and it was still half what these people were going to charge me! I was shocked that this family owned company would try to over charge my family for my service on our air conditioner. Ask questions and get a second opinion before dealing with Lee Air Service of Southlake.

These guys are open 24/7, which is much needed in this Texas heat. They were able to come out within a few hours of my call. Even at 11pm the two technicians were friendly and easy to work with. They diagnosed the problem and had it repaired within 15 minutes. You can't ask for much more than that!

We returned from a trip and our A/C was not cooling. Thanks to a late night visit from none other than the Technical Manager himself (!), it was determined that, in fact, our A/C was working properly and a condensation drain line was severely clogged which was causing the unit to auto shutoff, saving a flooded mess that would have otherwise occurred if not for this built-in safeguard. He started in the A/C closet and followed the clog all the way to our guest bath room plumbing, and unstopped everything. Also checked all A/C operations, which were then fine once it quit cutting off due to the sensor. All of this at 2am. No one is "cheap" in the middle of the night, my friends, and we were happy to have been able to get back up and running in the summer heat. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Bottom line: Not the cheapest, but shows up and does the job and is going to be around if I need them! I have had my fair share of experiences with "cheap" AC companies lately since money is tight. Sure, I saved initially...until I had a problem that is. When I tried calling back a few months later because I had a problem, guess what? No longer in business! A friend of mine suggested Lee Air because she had been using them for their Pre-Summer check up for over 5 years. I called them on a sunday because I had NO HEAT and they came out in 20 minutes. Their "overtime fee" was half what the other guys I called wanted which was fine considering they actually offered to come out. The other guys said they were too busy to come until 11pm....on a sunday? The service man was nice and fixed my heat. The bill was more than what I had spent with the "cheap" company, but guess what? I know they'll still be in business next month and it was finally done right.
