DO NOT GIVE THIS MAN YOUR MONEY!

I work in Southfield, so when my brakes started making a horrible grinding sound halfway to work, I decided to take it somewhere to get fixed because I live 40 miles away. My husband reached out to a few different places in the area, and decided to go with Tire Giant on Telegraph after speaking with Chuck the owner on the phone. All we were looking for was an honest mechanic to fix my brakes so I could get home safely. Instead what we received, was an dishonest man. When I dropped my Jeep off, Chuck offered to take me back to work which was down the road. I found it unprofessional that he used someone else's vehicle who left it there for repair, to drive me to work. This should have been a sign that this man was not trustworthy. My husband dealt with the rest, received a quote from Chuck saying that my front brakes were worn out and they needed repair. He also said that my rear brakes were 15% away from being in the same condition as my front ones. He also added that I needed new tires (which I don't, I just recently got a new set of 4). After discussing with my husband, we decided to not go with the almost $500 for the front and rear brakes and just do the front for $260. My husband is capable of fixing brakes however, to ensure that I got home safely, we decided that the rear could wait till I was home. I called Chuck at lunch time to see if my Jeep was ready to be picked up and confirm the amount for the brakes. He proceeded to tell me that it was going to be $280 dollars. I brought to his attention that him and my husband had talked and he quoted us for $260. He said yeah yeah, we did talk and yes it will be $260. Once I got there, he changed the price on me yet again, saying that it was going to be $270. At that point, I was frustrated and very confused on his changing story. I paid the $270 and made my way back to work. Once my husband was informed that he charged me $270 (the extra 10 dollars meant nothing to us, it was the purpose of his constant changing scamming story) that put us over the edge. I went back in for a refund of $12. When I went back in, I had to remind Chuck about 3 times who I was and what the refund was for, he was playing dumb. Once we were home, my husband decided that he was going to change my rear brakes since I only had 15% left on them. After taking the rear brakes out, my husband noticed I had OVER HALF of the rear brake pads left. When my husband talked to him today about our concerns with his dishonesty, he told us he never said that I had 15% left. Which he clearly did because he quoted us at almost $500 dollars and said that I needed the rear changed ASAP. He also included a free oil change the next time I came in on my receipt. However, he now is saying that the oil change was only if I got the front AND rear done. As you can see this man lives up to the stereotype of a dishonest mechanic. Goes against hisevery word! I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! He takes advantage of people who do not know much about cars and individuals in a binding situation such as myself. CHUCK you are a scammer!

Stay away! Chuck the manager is a dishonest manager! When I came to him I asked for a honest non overcharging mechanic and honest repair quotes. What did I get the opposite. We changed the front brakes with them for just under $300 which is over priced, but I understand the company has to make money that is not my issue. Chuck also told me that the rears had 15% left and you shouldn't drive on them to much longer. One week later I change them myself and the brakes have over half life left. Once again another story of a dishonest auto repair shop man. Chuck is the reason why I will never again go to someone i don't know personally as they just want your money and recommend things you simply don't need. Very sad businesses are run like this and try and take advantage of people who don't know much about cars. Unfortunately for him I actually know cars. He Nice at first then denied he ever said 15% and became very rude and mouthy. He could have handled more professional, but choose not to. People beware please!!

NEVER go here for ANYTHING! Not even to use the bathroom. Brought my car in to have the brakes replaced in February 2013 and have had to bring it bakc FOUR times for various issues. The "General Manager" Ray is very rude and condescending and it is clear that customer service is NOT a priority. I will NEVER bring my car heare again.

On 3/05/2013 my wife went to the facility to have her Oil changed, Tires rotated and safety inspection completed. (she was using a Groupon we purchased)

After your crew finished they informed her that the Sway Bar was broken as well as showed it to her. She thanked them but did not want them to fix it for her (they didn’t appear happy about that).

That evening I was getting ready to replace the broken Sway Bar and links when we noticed that the tires had not been rotated.

There is no Legit reason why this could not have been done!

The next day she came back to your facility to have them rotate the tires (this was already paid for), they at first tried saying that they did do it the day before. Then they changed their story and said that they wouldn’t do it until she got a front end alignment first!

To top it off they were extremely rude to her when they found out that I had replaced the part myself. She said they appeared to be “Mad” about it.

Think about it, if a person is able and wants to fix something their self, saving $270 (paid $80 for the parts, they wanted to charge me $350), your employees should not give them an attitude on top of not performing all the work that was already paid for!

Yes, an alignment does need to be performed after replacing the Sway Bar but this does not in any way impact their ability, or impact liability to rotate the tires (again, this service was already paid for)!!!

There is other suspension work that I need to perform on the rear end this weekend before we get an alignment (no sense paying for an alignment twice in 1 week).

Although we are grateful the staff informed us of the broken part, we are extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism and integrity of the employees.

Buyer Beware!!!!!!!

HORRIBLE! DO NOT GO HERE! ...

HORRIBLE! DO NOT GO HERE!

I purchased a groupon from this company. I just left from getting my oil changed and my tires were suppose to be rotated. My tires clearly were not rotated. The oil is clean but I will have to check tomorrow and see if the filter was even changed. After reading all these reviews the next thing I am going to do it make sure all the oil has not leaked out!

Besides the above services not being preformed the staff was a nightmare. The woman working the desk had me walk across the street to get change for her. She made me very uncomfortable by repeatedly asking me personal questions about my love life and other personal things I did not feel comfortable sharing with her. She left before my car was even finished and told me to pay the mechanic for the upgrade that she suggested I get, and assured me that she told him to do it. I asked him one by one if everything was done and he said yes. He didn't ask me for any money, and hurriedly got into his car and left he establishment before I even reached my car. Good thing I didn't pay for the upgrade because nothing that was suppose to be done was done.

Wow! Now that's a deal! I want to wish a happy Labor Day to the folks at the shop as they got me road-ready for the holiday weekend and luckily found a severe leak during their safety inspection. A previous shop had supposedly fixed it. Glad I got it fixed today instead of breaking down 200 miles from home on a Holiday and having to get towed back!! Thanks again and God Bless You!!!!!!!!

Absolutely superb service with a smile! They get busy so I suggest dropping your car off in the morning if possible. I was up at the counter chatting with the manager for about an hour and what I noticed and was most impressed with was the high number of repeat, satisified customers that came in. That tells you a lot about a business.

I received Excellent Service!! FIVE STARS!! I had my brakes done there and saved almost $100 compared to a couple shops down the road, And I got treated better as well. Some places talk down to women, but everything was shown to and explained to me beforehand with respect! And they are not "high pressure" like some places. I will return with my other car and tell my friends and family!

Terrible service

Please beware of this place they suck and have poor customer service skills!!! Let me say that it isn't always good to pay 10-15$ for a oil change. I used a groupon which to my knowledge would have covered my oil change so it was suppose to to be a value pack 10$ oil change, tire rotation & safety check. Now as many times I've been to the dealership to get an oil change they have always done the safety inspection free of charge or it was included with your oil change. So I took my car in ha 11am appointment I didn't leave until 12:45 which was irritation #1 then I go to get in my car I notice dirty finger smudges EVERYWHERE!!! on my hood cover, door handle, windows, steering wheel, inside door paneling, on my jacket, & my seat!!! I went back in let the lady at the counter know that there was oil and dirt everywhere she took some wipes out and had the mechanic wipe it he only wipes the door handle and part of my inside paneling I was pissed at this point and made a mental note to never return. I drive home which was about 4miles away get home and to my surprise as I'm looking back at my car I see a puddle and what appeared to be drips coming from the bottom of my car I got in the car and backed up to see what was leaking and there on the ground was the oil he just put in leaking out my car. I'm fuming and disgusted at this point drive back to them told the lady I probably have no oil in my car she looked puzzled and I explained to her what happen she then tells me that she promised someone already they were next. Well excuse me I was already here and had waited for my services paid you all and had to drive back here again!!! So I'm sorry Im going to be next she took my keys and the mechanic pulled my car right in and less than 10mins he was done. He said that it was a defective oil filter well had you paid attn after you installed it you would have seen leaking oil. I then ask what compensation I would get and he said what would you like I said I want a refund he said well No that's not going to happen. I said ok what is your corporate number he said We don't have one it's franchised and the owner isn't in today. So Goodyear has there name on the building and per this mechanic they have absolutely nothing to do with the place well WTF!! I said so I had oil all in and out my car I had to waste my time and gas to bring my car back because of your faulty supplies and your inability to pay attention while installing defective oil filters!! So please never ever use a groupon for this place it's. Its not worth your time I will pay 40$ for an oil change at the dealership and have a peace of mind rather to risk damage to my car!!

Best repair experience I've ever had. got a price from 3 other shops on Telegraph and Tire Giant beat them all by over $200 and got me back on the road in time for lunch. My car drives like it's brand new again. The people here are professional and friendly, which is an added bonus. Yes, I will tell my friends about them.

Unless you have extra money to...

Unless you have extra money to spend, DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE. How or why there are no negative reviews for this company is a wonder to me, I purchased their recent Groupon for new brake pads, 15 minutes after handing over my keys I was informed that upon removing the wheels, one of the screws had broken off, and was given a list of reasons how this could have happened (not one being their error) This news did not alarm me, However the option to carry on or stop was up to me as regardless I was now going to be charged extra for the piece that they had broken and the labor to fix it.

When I refused to pay the $51 which coincidentally is the more than the Groupon purchase I was offered a measly $10 dollar discount or alternately they could put my car back together with a now broken screw in the wheel and I could take my 7 month pregnant self and my 1 year old child and drive away and get it repaired some place else, not to mention advised that Groupon would offer a full refund, which they do not do after 7days of purchase.

I would not risk the life of myself, children or others on the road, so backed into a corner was coerced to cough up cash. Funnily enough after applying a lubricant to the car they were miraculously able to remove all other screws with no damage. This is bad business practice but obviously I nice way to catch customers who have prepaid for your service and dupe them into spending twice that amount once they have you keys.

Star Rating should be Negative Stars.
