I had the privilege yesterday of getting a gun lesson from Rick Fratz a Certified NRA Instructor at Classic Pistol in Southampton. Rick was very informative as he broke down the way the gun work and the parts of the gun to me. He also answered all my questions that I had with ease. You could tell that Rick has a passion for guns which made him an excellent teacher. Rick also made me feel comfortable in learning and as well as comfortable with handling my own gun. Rick corrected any errors I was making on holding my gun up to as well as me standing correctly. In doing this Rick help me take my shooting at the target from all over the place on the target to mostly in the 9 zone in the target that I was shooting at. Rick calls that the money shot, when you hit it in the nine zone. Lol
I will say I was a bit nervous as a woman going into a gun shop alone to learn for the first time how to handle my gun properly but now seeing how I was treated with respected and kindness at the same time. I can say for certain that I will highly recommend to all my friends to go to Classic Pistol in Southampton. It is a clean safe place to go shooting as well as to learn more about fire arms. Worth every bit of money, I paid. I look forward to many more lessons in my future. Thank you, Rick, and thank you Classic Pistol for making my experience safe/enjoyable.

Love Classic Pistol. Bought my new compact Kimber 1911 (Ultra CDP II (LG)) from here. Was really pleased with the entire smooth process. Recently walked in to shoot my 1911 in their superb range. I walked out afterwards with newly acquired knowledge and a brand new Daniel Defense AR-15 (DDM4 V7p). Also some goodies to go along with it, like a Trijicon red dot sight, Troy front/rear folding sights and a BFG vickers sling, including 2 FREE 32 round magazines and 2 FREE hours of range time. The Classic Pistol Staff are professional, knowledgeable and have great customer service. Classic Pistol provides the highest quality firearms, ammunition and accessories.

since the business ownership was taken over by its present owner (Bob) as of jan 2009, there has been many improvments done to the store and the range itself.



the inventory and variety of guns have greatly improved. there are at least 3 times more guns for sale (pistols, revolvers ,

long guns and semi-automatic rifles) ammo is plentyful, and they have a large variety of accessories for handguns and longguns.



the staff is extremely helpful and knowledgable. the owner bob is easily accessible and very cheerful, and is very knowledgable .



classic pistol now has a professional gunsmith (john robinson) who is very well known in the area as one of the best.



my brother and i have been members at classic pistol for 4 years now, and would strongly recommend classic pistol for all your shoting needs at a range that is second to nobody in the area.
