I wish I would have seen the reviews on Yelp before I called these guys. I believed the reviews here raving about the place and thought I found a winner. But they are not a winner. We needed a motion light replaced, no wiring needed, just a new light put in. I was quoted $175 to $225 which seemed reasonable and I figured it would be the $175 since it was an easy fix. They came out, spent 20 minutes, ignored the fact that we already had bulbs and charged us for new ones. And then charged the $225. So how would I get the $175 if for 20 minutes work they charged the max amount?

I called to ask and first was told they'd call back in 5 minutes. Two days later I called again to get a number that no longer was in service. Then Mike called me back and I tried to ask him and was repeatedly talked over and my question basically ignored. He wouldn't let me finish and I ended up just hanging up because obviously he didn't care about me anymore, he already had my money.

I would NEVER use these guys again and I would advise anyone considering them to look elsewhere. They are overpriced, ignorant, and one of the worst experiences I've had with a service company.

Also, to use a credit card, they charge you even more so again look elsewhere and save yourself money and stress because these guys are terrible.

Low price , fast service is what these guys are all about .it was so hot over the weekend and they put in three air conditioner lines in our upstairs bedrooms so we were cool at night. My Mom is on an oxygen machine and we couldnt run the machine and the air conditioner at the same time so having it done the same day was great .
Would use them again in a heartbeat.

Bad Company! They come out give you a price, then if you say no to their estimate
they get all pissed off and try to scare you, by saying things like the house will burn down.
Don't use them!

Look at this ! You can't go wrong with these guys. I've been using them for a few years now. They're very responsive, extremely knowledgeable, and competitively priced. I've never had a problem with Affordable Electric and would recommend them to anyone...

When I called I received an approximate estimate to reattach the electrical service to my house that was pulled off by a falling branch. Due to my service being 200 amp the service guys immediately called to review the additional cost, which was very reasonable. I was out of town but the service guys called with an approximate arrival time (which they met), introduced themselves to my wife, and were extremely courteous.



I had called four electricians before Affordable, two were not interested in doing the work and two didn’t even returned my call, I called Affordable at 4 pm and the job was completed by 10 am the next day – impressive service!!!

Amazingly Fast and reasonable service . This morning it is 2 degrees out , we had no heat and no power on our first floor . I called the # listed 215-927-1100 at 5:30 am and was surprised that the owner of the company answered the phone himself. I explained the problem we were having and the owner of the Company, Marty spent a good 15 minutes on the phone with me trying to help me get my power back on without spending unnecessary money , we tried to reset our breakers , he had me go around and unplug those surge outlet strips and he said they cause alot of problems . Nothing worked and after we finished checking everything he said to hang tight , someone would be out shortly. 7am 2 of his Electricians were at my door and diagnosed the problem as a dead short from my space heater on the first floor, he showed me the burnt wiring in the "junction box" in the ceiling , he fixed that and also ran a separate line from the breaker panel to where I plug in the heater. Amazing! No more dimming lights as they were before and my heater stays on. Thanks Marty , Collin & Joe for the fast & efficient job today , I know it was extremely cold and you guys did an amazing job. We will give your cards to our friends , neighbors & co workers , please send me some more!

I called Affordable electric for a problem with my electricity. A technician was sent out, spent 5 mins looking around. He didn't pay attention to what I said. Long story short, they sold me an expensive job and said it would solve my problem. After they left, the problem persisted. I called back as I had a warranty. They came out and a different technician found the actual problem. A quicker and much cheaper fix. They wanted me to pay money for that job. I refused as they misdiagnosed the problem the first time and never fixed the issue. In the end, they didn't fix my issue and caused me a huge headache. I would look for someone else.



They have a BBB symbol on their site but I cannot find them at all on the BBB website.

My Review about Affordable Electric Inc. : PECO left our house and me a nervous wreck thinking I was going to have a hard time finding an electrician to work in the snow and do the work I needed done . We have several friends that are electricians, and we called, but didn't reach anyone by phone, so I went to the yellow pages and you, your ad said an electrician would call back immediately. I was pleasantly surprised when a real live person answered the phone, and booked my job right then I opted to have you come the next day. You advised me that someone would be here between 9:30 and 10:30, Your Company was right on time ! No Games , the Electrician got right to what was needed , replaced the line & breakers and our power was back on in 1 hr ! I really appreciate the fast & friendly service and recommend your company to anyone that needs a quality Electrician, Oh YES , The PRICING was PERFECT and very fair .THANK YOU for the Service . We have now used Affordable Electric inc 3 times , and am extremely happy with the results each time. They rewired most of our house before we moved in two years ago. Our 90 year-old house had old knob-and tube wiring which was in a dangerous shape. Affordable rewired most of our house from top to bottom - a huge job, including a new circuit breaker box in the basement. They completed this extremely complex job in just 2 days , knowing we were ready to move in. We hired them because they are the best and they came through for us. Today, Affordable came out and put up a custom ceiling fan for us. They arrived on time, were completely pleasant and professional, and finished the whole job in just 1/2 hour. We highly recommend these guys - they do excellent work and are highly professional. They also adhere to their guaranteed work. As far as the other reviews here complaining about anything, we had NO PROBLEM at all - it's true affordable electric is the best residential electrical contractor, . Be aware of the really cheap contractors they are generally unlicensed and unreliable - and who wants to take a chance with your home's wiring? You get what you pay for, and I completely recommend affordable electric , ask for Mike , Tell them you saw the note from Kelly on YP.com

I found these guys on here last month , they came out and gave us a really good price on what we needed so we took a chance with a new electrician, ours retired . We had lights put up for our bizness last week , needed more security as we were broken into a few times , I waited to see how the lights look before I wrote a review , and all is GREAT . 4 lights brand new with wires and switchez on photoelectric cell so they come on and off at night and in the morning . I wanted motion lights but eelectrician suggested these and I love the idea , Lights up the front and back and it looks great and I feel more secure . Rating , I only did 4 stars because no one is perfect except JESUS . John 3:16

I received a card asking for a review so here it is : A brief writing about our job with Affordable Electric Inc : We had our service cable replaced along with a new board to replace the 6 breaker system that came with the house. We also had the entire kitchen re-wired since we had walls down While they were doing what we agreed to, they also fixed a few things upstairs that were just wrong. They hooked us up with an outdoor outlet, and also discovered a serious fire hazard a previous owner had hidden inside the walls. I won't go into to many details about all the extras they helped us with but I will say thanks . All I will say is they are about as stand-up as you will find. They did what we agreed to, for the price they set. And in the process they fixed a few other things to make sure our home was safe. They were clean, friendly, efficient, Affordable Electric was also almost 750.00 less than the other estimates we got. Saving money is a great thing , like they say " Why Pay More "

I CALLED AFFORDABLE ELECTRIC BECAUSE I HAD PARTIAL POWER AFTER THE MAN WHO ANSWERS THE PHONE GAVE ME ALL THE RATES HE EXPLAINED THAT IT WOULD BE LATER THAT DAY BEFORE SOMEONE COULD GET OUT WICH WAS OK BUT I STILL HAD SOME QUESTIONS WHICH I NEEDED ANSWERED SINCE I DIDN'T HAVE A CLUE AS TO WHAT WAS HAPPENING AND A LITTLE NERVOUS ABOUT THE POSSIBILITES OF A FIRE. HE TOLD ME TO HOLD ON TO SPEAK WITH AN ELECTRICIAN AFTER ANSWERING SEVERAL QUESTIONS THE MAN TOLD ME THAT SINCE I WAS SCHEDULED FOR THE AFTERNOON THAT I SHOULD CALL MY SERVICE PROVIDER AND GET THEM TO COME OUT , I DID THIS AND WHEN THE POWER COMPANY CAME OUT THEY FOUND A LOOSE WIRE WHICH FEEDS MY HOUSE THEY MADE THE REPAIRS ( NO CHARGE ) AND I WAS ABLE TO CANCELLTHE CALL I HAD MADE WITH AFFORDABLE ELECTRIC, THIS SAVED ME A LOT OF MONEY. I called Affordable Electric first thing in the morning with a problem with my ceiling fan and lights out in my home . Mike answered the phone and he was efficient, friendly and most of all answered the phone LIVE , most places go straight to voicemail or an answering service these days. He said that he could have an electrician come out between 1pm and 2 that day, another + as others I had contacted wanted to make it for later in the week or next week in general.



Electrician arrived promptly at 1 pm as they had said. He was very courteous, friendly, and efficient. . He answered all my questions and a short time later my fan was working just fine and all of our lights were back on , no nonsense and fast .



I would certainly recommend Affordable Electric to anyone out there looking for fair and honest electricians. I will certainly use them again for all my electrical needs.

I tried to believe the positive reviews but unfortunately my experience with them was very negative. I was told they would arrive by noon. When it was past noon and no one showed up I called back. I was told they would contact the men and get right back to me in five or ten minutes. That was over forty minutes ago and I still haven't heard back. Guess I now have to waste another whole day after I find a new electrician.

I won't go into too many details about all the extra stuff they did because I don't want to give the impression that they're some kind of non-profit. All I will say is these guys are about as stand-up as you will find. They did what we agreed to, for the price they set. And in the process they fixed a few other things to make sure our home was safe. They were clean, friendly, efficient, and they all spoke English

Very prompt service and repairs in the rain. Water got into our electric line that comes into our home and we saw sparks and then poof no lights . I had seen their trucks around and remembered the name so I found them on my iphone and called. 1/2 hour they were here at our home and replaced our main wires & box . great job and really fast service . I was pleased as I could be with Affordable Electric and the service and value received .

Very Happy with everything from 1st meeting , price and workmanship . Notably good service experience, work done correctly, on-time and good cleanup. I meet with the owners, so there is a personal touch. Professional men gave me a very good price for the the work needed. The Electricians showed up the next day,ontime, very polite, best of all no bad language which was appreciated . The Electricians, Affordable Electric are #1 in our book.

I recommend Affordable Electric Inc not only for their electrical expertise but for their commitment to the lost art of customer service. I have always been handled with care and concern by everyone at the office and the employees . Working at a real estate agency, I can tell you that one of an agent's most valuable commodities are reliable contractors --- plumbers, painters, carpenters, electricians and so forth. Recently one of our agents sent out an e-mail to the other agents in the office for an electrician they could recommend to work on a property for one of her clients. Multiple

agents (myself included) e-mailed her back, independently, and all with the same recommendation Affordable Electric Inc . Many times they have come through with flying colors even at the last minute when needed for a Real Estate Certification for a sale . We can always depend on Affordable Electric for on time courteous service with a truly affordable pricing schedule. First I can say that finding people that are this friendly and respectful outside of the Service in 2013 to be commended . I am stationed at a local AFB and made an appointment for my down time. The Electricians sent were prompt, courteous and no nonsense . I had been having main power distribution problems at my Sisters home in Warminster Pa and had been told we needed an entire new 100 amp service. I called Affordable after seeing them here online and got a second opinion , I am glad I took that step. It turned out we did not need a service at all, we had a bad PECO meter and that was it , the meter was loose. I was charged 165$ total to tighten up the meter jaws and they even called the utility company and arranged for a new meter since ours was pitted at the contacts. The company was very fair and honest in their dealings and I respect them for the way they handled our service call. They could have charged us more but didn't. Honest men doing a great job. I offer my recommendation herein.
