I truly believe that Steve Hokstra saved my sanity and helped me to grow, in my Christian experience

I was violated by Steve Hoekstra after many years of going to counseling there, and I will never be the same.

He used his position to completely violate my trust. He uses empathy and compassion to draw people in and make them think he cares. But, in my experience he was a complete phony. After years of thinking he cared, I found out the hard way that it was an act. He should not even have a counseling license after his poor boundaries, deceptive practices, and the damage he has caused.

Don't go anywhere else for help! Mr Hoekstra has been used in an amazing way by God in my life! I have been to more than one counselor, but the help that is available here surpasses them all. Problems and solutions are identified and confronted head-on without hesitation. My time invested here was invaluable! Thanks Refuge!
