Had been connected with holland home for more than 4 years. When I first got involved my experience came from with the secured memory care unit. Started off lovely with nice caring staff and great administrator on the unit, and very well kept. I would say after the 2nd year of being here things on the unit changed in a drastic way. The unit became well under staffed, and over worked. Their turn over rate is terrible, every month maybe even week people were quiting or being terminated. There was a lack of patient care because of the short staff and it showed very clearly on how the unit was being up kept. Staff went on numerous times without ample amount of supplies to properly care for patients. On top of that alot of the administration for the nursing department is very rude and nasty. The Don specifically has a very nasty attitude and tends to try an blame her nursing staff for her lack of concern of her patients.

I WORK HERE AND THIS IS AN AMAZING RETIREMENT HOME FOR THE ELDERLY. I HAVE NEVER SEEN OR HEARD OF ANOTHER RETIREMENT HOUSE TAKING BETTER CARE THAN WE DO HERE!
