Dr. Thomas Vanderheyden is an awesome doctor! He is a kind, caring and funny doctor who has taken care of me whenever I've needed him. I enjoy and look forward to my appointments with him and its worth driving from out of town to see him.

Do not choose Dr.Pankaj A Patel as your Dr. Have had two procedures where this Dr.Patlel has hurt me with pain that is etched in my mind. His bedside manner is also horrible the last time I saw him he basically told me that he thought he would have never seen me again,basically telling me he thought I would be dead by now. After care was non existent. Probably have had at least 6 procedures with him and he wasn't even there by the time I came out of Anesthesia. Dealing with the office is just as bad. Calling the secretary she acts like it's a huge favor even when making an appointment. When I asked MGI for a new Dr. they basically told me if I did not want Dr.Patel then they wanted nothing to do with me.Don't know but this almost sounds illegal when my Insurance states that I'm allowed to see any Dr.I want. Save yourself a lot of grief,stay away from this Dr.

My veterinarian provides better care! As an established patient at Michiana Gastroenterology I expected to receive kind, compassionate care when I became extremely ill. Instead, I received the opposite. I called Dr. Manbeck’s office and spoke with Amanda when I began to have abdominal pain accompanied by bloody diarrhea and vomiting. I called multiple times before my call was even returned. When it was, I was scheduled a gallbladder test for a week away and told that “it is a waste of time to see you until you have this test”. Despite multiple calls and pleas for assistance, my symptoms continued to worsen and due to the extreme amount of pain I was in, had to visit the ER, twice! After each ER visit I called and spoke with Amanda and asked her to convey to the doctor how seriously ill I was and how terrified I was. Despite my illness lasting almost 2 weeks, I never even received a call from my doctor and was not permitted to schedule an appointment. Each time I called I was made to feel as if I was an inconvenience and treated coldly. When I was finally ‘permitted’ to schedule an appointment with Dr. Manbeck, it was cancelled the day OF without my consent or even notifying me!
