The employees and volunteers all give so much of themselves for these animals! Very dedicated people. The shelter has managed to do a 180 from when the parish ran it, and now maintains over a 90% save rate.

Cara's House is ill-equipped to handle the shelter at Lamar Dixon. Not enough volunteers. Begging for help--too little too late. How many animals are gong to die because Cara's House turned away 100s of fosters from all over the country?! Yes, 100s of fosters turned away at the beginning of rescue efforts of all those August 2016 flood pets. Now, they have no volunteers because of their callous attitudes and self-serving media mindsets. Pathetic. If you cannot run a shelter unselfishly, you are in the wrong business.
