I've used Dr. McCollum with all 3 of my children & very pleased. He has great bedside manner & always caught things very early on which had prevented my children from having serious problems later. Highly recommend!!!!!

Dr. Pulias has no integrity!

I thought that this clinic really cared about its patients and the families that come here, but I was sadly wrong.

After being a patient here for over 5 years I had an issue with one of the receptionist and made a complaint to Dr. Pulias, only to then be sent a letter stating that I was being dismissed from the practice due to missed appointments. I let it and go thinking it was from the receptionist and I found another doctor.

I continued for 5 years to bring my 7 year old daughter top the practice and have seen Dr. Pulias when I brought her in every time almost with no issues. She has been a patient there since she was born.

After bringing my daughter to see Dr Pulias one Monday, and then being stung by a bee and ending up in the hospital the following weekend, I decided to call and try to reestablish myself as a patient with TN Medicine and Pediatrics so that all of my family, my children, my husband and myself would be at one location.

I called spoke to a receptionist, explained the situation and that I needed to follow up due to a bee sting and that I had been a patient previously, looked up my records and made me an appointment for 3:30 that same day. I drove to the office in Murfreesboro and signed in. I was then told by the receptionist that she would have to call Dr. Pulias and get approval for anyone to see me. I said ok, why and then she explained that it was procedure, I said ok I am sure it is fine I have seen him many times over the years with my daughter including the previous Monday and that my daughter has an appointment for a well visit the next Monday for an 8 year check up.

I sat down and waited as I was asked to do.

The receptionist then comes out 10 minutes later to tell me that she is sorry but no-one can see me, Dr. Pulias would not allow it. I was obviously upset that an appointment had been made to which she stated Ia m sorry I was not the person you spoke to, they must have been new and should not have scheduled an appointment. She suggested I call the office and speak to someone else.

I left called the office and was told that there was nothing they could do that I could try to speak to Dr. Pulias when I brought my daughter in for her check up. I stated that is ok, I do not want to be a patient at a practice that apparently does not want me. I will bring my daughter for her appointment but I do not wish to come back. She said that is fine.

I then get a call the next day from the office manager stating that Dr. Pulias had asked her to call me and let me know that he would be glad to see my daughter but that his decision for seeing me was not going to change. I then stated that I had already been told that and that I had no desire to speak to him concerning the return to this office and wanted to know if there was some reason that he all fo the suddent had an issue with me and was told no it was due to missed appointments from 5 years ago for myself. I said ok, I will bring my daughter Monday. Was told that is fine.

The next day received an appointment reminder and then the following day received a certified letter dismissing my daughter from the practice due to "philosophical" differences. My daughter who has been a patient there since she was born 8 years, whom he has been treating for different reasons at least 7 visits this past year alone.

I was so shocked at this behavior and poor treatment, lack of care or concern and just bitter mentality of "I am a doctor I can do whatever I want, we do not need patients like you! Nor do we care that your daughter has never been anywhere else to a doctor, or never had a complaint or issue. This type of treatment is totally unacceptable!

Poor service

Joshua McCollum is very difficult to get into and often you will have your appointment rescheduled or you'll see a nurse practitioner. He laughed at me when I told him I had a confirmed medical condition and discredited me to another doctor who in turn failed to treat a serious health problem due to poor information given by Dr. McCollum. My medical records were inacurrate and had missing information when I finally received them. Services were charged for that were not rendered. I was sent a letter of release as a patient in the middle of a health crisis. He failed to diagnose health problems that were common health problems.
