I am currently attending Homeschool Cottage and I must say that it, for me; has been one of the greatest experiences that anyone can ask for. Not only have I auctally started passing, but the tutors and staff are extremely kind and accepting. They will help you at all costs and sell great quality learning/study supplies. If there would be one thing I ever regretted, it would be not signing up eariler.

poorly executed idea to the point of being criminal; will write to the better business bureau explaining; if you like liars, this is a great place to be! One lie after another, sometimes within the same breath.

I am forever grateful to the H...

I am forever grateful to the Home School Cottage. The people there are like a family--supportive, accepting, and encouraging. I serve as a teacher, and I love the atmosphere. It revived me as a teacher. Coming from teaching in the public realm, it was a breath of fresh air to find this place untouched or tainted by regulations, completely focused on children and their education. I am also involved with the cottage as a parent. My son attended as a student, and I couldn't be happier with the result. He took Creative Writing, Science, and History. He developed a love of learning, an attitude of cooperation with others, and a deep respect for teachers. So many people were so helpful. He was tested at the end of that year and did very well, but what I love the most is what happened to his character. I have another son who is doing the "Out of the Box" program this year. He is very excited, and so am I.

My Children have attended Home...

My Children have attended Home School Cottage now for a few years for tutoring. We registered with the state of Louisiana as Homeschoolers as all Home school students are required to by law. We then choose to send our children to Home School Cottage for tutoring. Yet, we understand we are SOLELY responsible for our children’s education, and know that HSC is Not A School but a tutoring facility such as Sylvain Learning or the like. When our children graduate they will obtain a Diploma from the “Home School” we named when we registered with the State Of Louisiana, As Should you have. If you did not receive a diploma it is not the fault of HSC it is 1 of 2 reasons are both,1 .Someone failed to register you as a Home School student with the state.2.You did not complete the courses you needed to obtain a Dilpomia.HomeSchool students do not need to get a GED if they complete the 2 steps above. They receive a diploma as if they went to any private school. Hence ,why you should register with the state, as Such. Wish you well in life but please stop blaming others for your mistakes and trying to hurt a wonderful God sent Business when it’s obvious you did not do what you were required to.

The Home School Cottage is ove...

The Home School Cottage is overpriced for their books and their "education". My mother spent more sending me to the Home School Cottage then we did on Delgado Community College. I went there through high school and the most exciting part was when I graduated, until I found out my diploma was'nt real. How embarrasing it is when people and employers ask me where I went to school, because I have to tell them I was home schooled but I had to get my GED. Mrs. Pamela is sweet until you "graduate" then she wants nothing to do with you. I am telling you if you want to home school your kids, there is a way to register them through the state so they will graduate, but don't bring them up to the home school cottage.

Just so people are aware..we do not give out diplomas. We are a tutoring facility. Students register under their parents as home schooled with the state of Louisiana. We simply assist students and their parents in subjects areas of their choosing. At the Cottage we provide resources if you need them and want to purchase them. We also provide tutoring classes to help those who need it. At no time have we ever told anyone that they could get their diploma here. Nor do we represent ourselves as a school. We are a home school resource and tutoring facility. All of the staff at the Cottage is here to assist and encourage both students and their parents in the home school process.
