My antique grandfather clock recently stopped running. I called The Timepiece Inc. to have someone come out and look at my clock. Much to my surprise the owner of the stores came out to look at my clock. How refreshing in todays world that the owner of the store cares enought to do the job right. He advised me that my clock was very worn and dirty after all these years, and needed to go into the shop for an overhaul. He also advised me that my weights and pendulum needed to be polished. They had tarnished very badily over the years. He gave me an estimate that I though was very reasonable. I agreed. He said he would take everything into the shop and return in a few weeks with everything in working order. After a few weeks he returned with the works, pendulum, and weights all looking like new. After installing the works, he said everything was guaranteed for a year. Also that he would follow up every 2 years, with a reminder postcard, because the clock needed to be oiled every 2 years to keep it running correctly. This kind of service is very hard to find in todays world. I consider myself very lucky to have found these people to do my service work on my clocks.
