best ever!!! Read this!

Here is my story. I have bought a Mercedes suv, brought the car to Nick and Ernies, thinking they are going to tell me everything about the car. First thing I heard was- where did you get this car? It is a junk! They said they can't fix the car , because they do not have a proper diagnostic equipment and it is not worth fixing it. They send me to the Mercedes dealership. I did not go to the dealership, I went to another place and they had all the equipment they needed to diagnose the problems. But Nick and Earnies charged me for diagnostics. Which they could not do.Recently I have bought vw van. I took the car to them thinking they can at least check the van. The same story. Even worse. I left the car in the morning. Nobody called me until I called them half an hour before closing. They could not diagnose all the problems, because they did not have a specific equipment. And they told me they can only fix a few things, I have to go to the dealership to fix most of the problems. They wanted to charge me $176 just for telling me they could not fix the van. The reception lady asked me where did I get this junk van (I paid $7000 for it). And pointed me with her finger- I know where you get your cars!???? What kind of service is that? If they can't fix european or other kinds of cars, why wouldn't they tell you this at the very beginning. Then you would go to another place not spending money and time for hearing these kind of things. The last words the lady told me- don't bring your junk cars here anymore......Thank you, Nick and Earnies. You used to be much better. I don't know what happened, but I will not bring my junk cars there. And I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody. Other shops invest money into the new diagnostic equipment and tools, so they can tell you what problems you car has and fix them. And the other places fix the cars. If you can not do this- just tell people you can't help them.

Nick and Ernie’s: family owned business – values and honesty reflects in customer service

I was involved in a pretty bad automobile accident about 10 years ago. I had heard about Nick and Ernie’s through a co-work, who constantly had the best things to say about Ernie, his sister, and the other staff at the auto body shop. I decided to take my car to Nick and Ernie’s – since I had heard such wonderful things. Ernie was instantly understanding and comforting, and he explained everything to me, comforted me, and made me feel safe with leaving my car in the hands of his technicians. Years later I am still a happy customer at Nick and Ernie’s. I frequently visit the shop for oil changes, tire rotations, and everything else nick and Ernie’s has to offer. I continue to feel comfortable and welcomed at Nick and Ernie’s. I believe they go above and beyond to make me feel like a valued customer – it is nice to be appreciated and respected. I will continue to take my car to them and suggest them to friends and family in need of any body or mechanical work.

Things change and not always for the better...

Nick & Ernie's used to go above and beyond during all the years of using them. I have sent friends and family to them for service because of their excellence in communication and their efforts in service. I have since moved further away from Nick & Ernie's, but have continued to take my vehicles there. I will certainly reconsider ever recommending or taking my car for work again, after this latest experience. Communication was very minimal, and nothing was done to go "above and beyond" like I had experienced for so many years. Things change over time, apparently, so does Nick & Ernie's.
