Radiation Data was founded in 1983, with several missions. Radon became a national priority in 1986, and our Radon group was organized. From the beginning we sought to serve our clients with integrity, accuracy, and personal attention. Quickly growing to be the largest Radon testing firm in New Jersey, Radiation Data set the standard for excellent client service. After more than 21 years, reliable, high quality work remains the hallmark of our business. We are now one of the top 3-4 Radon Testing laboratories in the U.S. In New Jersey, all Radon tests are reported to the state DEP, and our reports provide the state with 50% of its entire database. Approximately 800 Home Inspectors are NJ-certified to measure Radon, and 450 of them are affiliated with Radiation Data. In all, we have done more than 660, 000 individual Radon tests for our clients. Our Services today have grown beyond Radon testing, to include Radon Mitigation, Personal advice, Professional Classroom training, Toxic Vapor problems, and basement waterproofing.

There’s a reason most realtors recommend Radiation Data. We’ve sold two homes, one in Edison and one in Princeton. Both times the radon came up high, and both times our realtors recommended this company.
Our first sale was a little tricky because we waited too long to get the radon fixed. We weren’t aware how long the permits could take and had to push our closing. Radiation Data did everything they could to help calm down both us (LOL!) and the buyers when that time came. The second time, we knew more about the process and started it as soon as we got the report. In fact, I loved the workman we had the first time, Joe, so when I called to schedule I requested him again. That’s when I found out he had been promoted and worked in the office now! That should tell you something about the type of company they are.
The office workers and field men are very friendly and knowledgeable. Joe was a worker first and so he is really good at explaining the way the system works, which saved my second sale with first time buyers. Nicolette is willing to go out of her way to get things for us quickly. She drove my permit to the township last time we had radiation mitigation! Dave takes the time to do in person estimates. You really can’t go wrong here.
It makes me sad to see some of the less good reviews because I think a lot of that comes from overestimating what the company can and can’t do. They didn’t offer us a warranty on our work the second time, because we had gaps in the floor behind the wall. My husband wanted one, so we asked and they said it was cheaper to do any possible extra work that might be necessary than to cut open our walls and fill the drains. Honesty and reliability are valuable and I think that’s what sets Radiation Data apart.

Totally unprofessional.. They worked with me to go over the setup and sent me a proposal. On the day of appointment no one showed up and upon calling their office first they mention I am not in the schedule. Also, due to snow previous day, they are backed up and no one can install it. Working with Dave, fixed up an appointment for the following week. After few minutes I get a call that they are no longer interested in doing the job. They failed to provide any reason... Totally unprofessional and waste of my time.. stay away!!

Radiation Data truly sucks in plain English - when my husband told me that the company who did the testing is also the company he chose to install the remediation system, I initially thought, Hmm, conflict of interest maybe ? But whatever, we're selling our house, have a closing date too. They installed the system on 6/18 & we are still on 7/09 waiting for the permit from our town so we can get a C.O. - Sadly, my husband paid the installer on the day of the installation - what a mistake ! These people don't return calls, Keith Baker for one. A person named Tara hung up on my husband.

I saw an add for Radon Testing and it plainly showed a picture of a new born , I my self have a new born. When I realized that at the state pass rate for a "safe" amount of Radon still cause 7 out of 1000 people who have never smoked before to get lung Cancer , and that my child was DEFINATELY at Risk , It was a no brainer to spend a few dollars on a test.....Guess what 4 Pcl is the "safe level" My house 16.7 Pci ..I was Literally putting my entire family in harms way... I contacted Radiation Data, and From the moment I talked to them they assured me that YES the Radon was very high BUT ,,, BUT it can be fixed, It CAN be brought down to a MUCH SAFER level maybe even close to non-existant... and heres the kicker!!!! Personally my system only coseted 1200$. Ive heard of systems cheaper and Ive heard of more expensive systems I guess it depends on the size and structure etc!. But for 1200$ My Radon Gas level is now a 1.8 Pcl I LITERALLY ADDED YEARS ON TO MY FAMILIES LIVES.... A staff came in as promised installed the system Cleaned everything up .. I came home at the end of the day wondering where they were and the job had been completed and did not interupt the view or any part of my house.... Radiation data is who I would Reccomend... I dealt with a guy named JIm on the phone and they stayed in constant contact with me the entire process....THANK RADIATION DATA...from Myself My wife .....and my kidss!!!
