Established in 1949 by Clarence Rands, Market Center is a full-service food market operated by Hames Corporation. It features dairy, produce, frozen food, canned goods, meat and poultry, grocery and beverages departments. Market Center s dairy products include milk, butter, margarine, yogurt, sour and whipped cream and a variety of cheeses. Its produce department offers oranges, pears, peaches, grapes, green onions, cucumber, radishes, mushrooms, peppers and broccoli. Market Center also sells fish, ham, beef, pork, chicken and sausages. In addition to Market Center, Hames Corporation also operates Sea Mart Quality Foods in Sitka, Alaska.
