This is a smaller store that is kept very clean and has a variety of products. They do have some dogs and other animals that are available to buy along with many other products.

I love Mini Critters. They are my dog's second home and we are always treated like family! Everyone is very friendly and truly care about the work they do! Ryan is one of the most dedicated leaders and hardest workers I know. I highly recommend Doggie Daycare, Groooming, and the Boarding!

Always fun when I get to take my dog to Mini Critters. They treat her well and have known her by name for the last few years. Whenever we go out of town we have our dog stay at MC. The workers know what they are talking about and are always happy to help. Also, my little nephew loves taking trips to MC

Purchased a puppy and the service was great! I do believe there have been good changes made in the last year I realize good change can take time)... I have the info for my dog and vet checked her with great feedback. My feeling was knowledgeable staff especially the reptile and fish personnel. I saw reptile area and looked clean and with appropriate cages. Sometimes I wonder WHO writes reviews and with what agenda.

You'd think with a reptile breeder that works/worked there they'd take better care of the reptiles, right? It's pathetic. I walked in the other day to buy frozen rodents and saw a tortoise locked inside a small cage meant for crested geckos!! Same with a nile monitor and Burmese pythons! These animals deserbe bigger enclusres and respect! Especially knowing the bad rep they get, treat them right! Its so wrong why do they sell animals? i see multiple rabbits and gunea pigs together?? Puppy mill puppies??? Dirty fish tanks?? Petco does a damn better job and that's SAD! DONT shop here, you're just supporting abuse.

It's simple, if you love animals you will stay away from Mini Critter's. They buy from puppy mills that do not care about the animals and just are interested in making a profit. The puppies are way too young and get taken away from their mother causing behavioral issues down the road. The fish tanks are awful and not clean. Dead fish plug the filters, they put certain fish together that do not belong (aggressive fish with non aggressive fish), and they are over crowded. This place is not one to stop at for finding your new family member as all your doing is supporting the neglect of animals.

Attempted to charge for services that we did not authorize when we boarded our beagle. Also neglected to feed our dog. Mark the general manager said he didnt know why they didnt feed her and didnt know why the bathed and groomed her. TERRIBLE customer service. First the manager snapped and said "we did feed her" I asked what kind of food and why they fed her something different and why the customer service gal told us they forgot. He finally called back said sorry not sure why we didnt feed her and not sure why we groomed and bathed her. What happened to her while she was there? NEGLECT.

I hate this place and They sell the worst fish at all. All the employee are rude and chit chatting when the general Manager/owner Mark. As for the fish related The tank was dirty and filthy. In the main tank with the cichlid in They have Ich problems and Mix with different fish. They don't know how to clean the tanks. The fish they sell are sick or have disease. I never ever buy from them at all. It made me cringe how the too many clown loach in one small tank (20 gallon). They haven't special order to you at all when requested. Every week I been there there is no new fish but very weak order. The puppy are weak and Puppy mill supporter(hidden from the public). Mark give me discounts on the large price fish or medium size fish. Suck for them they are losing money to some of the people. There are people who clean their tank is not working there. Some random person was cleaning the tank without Employee shirt or NO ID. For the live birds They have them in worst condition in small cages I think Petsmart take good care for the bird than mini critter. Mini critter sinks I don't like the smell. mark throw some dead fish away in the trash can. Often mislabeled the fish. Last year I got Redtail Hybrid catfish for 9 dollar. Suppose to cost like $29.99. I trick one the employee which didn't know about catfish. Don't support the puppy mill. I read other review on here and different places. They need more employees that have experience about fish, and aquarium. I was the fish place and employee in the front talking. No one to help in the fish section. To the owner and all of the employees YOU need to CLEAN THE FISH TANK and Sell the fish for cheap prices. I been there other months some was worst than petsmart/wal mart. They can get whatever they want. To Mark Don't stand there and do nothing but Help the customer. I wont going there anymore at all from now

I brought my Labradoodles to get groomed Nov 3rd her whiskers were never cut or the fur on top of her head, she looks terrible and needs groomed again. I am very dissatisfied with the service she received, we won't be returning to Mini Critters.

The employees are horrible they are rude and just stand around talking.... 5 people working at once but don't actually work...... The animals show more intelligence then the whole crew of employees !!

Never taking my dogs to the groomers at Mini Critters in Sioux Falls ever again. A few weeks ago I brought in my dog Ares (a westie) to get a hair cut by Denise. She butchered his neck and his back was very un even. Instead of calling me or saying something when I picked him up they sent him home without a word. I noticed it on the way home and called. The groomer Denise, had a huge attitude blamed it on my dogs hair type. She offered to shave it down to make it even. It would have been cut so short he wouldnt have had any fur left. And with it being cold out it wasnt acceptable. I had spoken to the general manager who seemed hesitant because he said the groomers were sub contracted and he could only do so much. He seemed more worried about upsetting the groomer then taking care if a long time customer. In the end he did approve for Ares to be redone in a couple weeks when his hair grew back. The groomer called me today (the day he was supposed to be redone) and left a message and very rudely told me that I had to watch her fix Ares (according to her because I didnt like it, not because she screwed up even though she admitted she did the first time we talked) and to come in hours before I was supposed to. Do Not take ur pups in to Denise at Mini Critters, she is rude and refuses take responsibility for her work by blaming others. I have saved the message for the general manager or owner if they wish to hear it. I will never ever give Mini Critters my business again.

We have boarded our parrot twice with MC now and both times we have been happy with what we pay for, no incidents. the birds are boarded in a back room where the boarding cats are also kept, which is fine because we have cats at home as well. when picking up our bird his cage had been cleaned, and his food container level had dropped so obviously they were feeding him. the staff said that our bird would sit on their shoulder while they cleaned his cage, and they talked to him when ever in the room. so far i have no complaints. $8 a day isn't a bad price either. and we used his own cage so he would feel more comfortable.

i will NEVER go back to minicritters for anything related to fish. they may have a good looking set up but they know NOTHING about actual fish diseases and tell you to treat EVERYTHING with copper, which does not treat bacterial diseases and kills invertebrates (which i have a ton of). i talked to the owner or general manager and he treated me like an idiot who had no idea how to keep fish alive and healthy. ive been successfully breeding fish for 5 years now and do indeed know alot about them and their diseases (no thanks to minicritters). don't be fooled just because they have gallons of fish tanks, they know nothing and are very rude people (except tony, he's pretty legit) i rated it one star because i had to rate it. if it were up to me they wouldn't get any stars

Mini Critters sold us a dog that was DEAD in 3 weeks. We did an autopsy on our puppy and is showed our puppy was in very poor health overall and that the main cause of death was from Emaciation. Right away what this mean to Mark at mini critters was that we starved our 8 week old puppy to death and they stopped returning all of our calls. Knowing this was not possible from the amount of food our dog ate on a daily basis. I wanted some answers from the vet and the hospital that did the autopsy and they said this was probably the last thing we did and Mark who calls himself a professional should know this. And here is what they told us that MARK from mini critters denies, because he is obviously completed uneducated on the breed of dogs he sells and where he gets them from.

Mini Critters obtains their puppies from breeders who are FAR from being top of the line- The reason our dog was so poorly malnourished was due to the fact that these breeders wean these small breed puppies WAY too soon which means they are in for health problems and most likely destined for a life cut short because of greedy breeders and business owners. The vet is 99% positive our dog had diabetes and had diabetes when we purchased him. They are pretty sure that this also led to his death because of possible low blood sugar in his system at the time of death but that cannot be determined on an autopsy.

Mini Critters tried to make us feel like we were poor pet owners when everyone who knows us knows WAY better- we treat our animals like our children. When someone from mini critters called 2 weeks after we bought our wiener dog to do a checkup I told the girl that this dog has been eating like crazy and we have to kennel him so our other dogs could eat their food without our puppy going after it also.

After speaking to hundreds, probably thousands of people I have yet to hear ANYTHING positive about this place. I wish we knew this before putting our family through this tragedy of coming home to play with a dog that was stiff as a board in his kennel one night. There is nothing mini critters will do for us even when they know they are at fault but it is definitely my goal to make as many people aware in the Sioux Falls area what a horrible place this really is. And plus after speaking to employees there who actually told me the MARKUP on their puppies. INSANE! What a crooked cruel place.

I have been bringing my dogs to them for years.After moving here from kansas,I have tried most of the salons in the city only to be disappointed.they are very busy,with the first available appt.3 months out,I schedule my appts. for a year in advance.I have never been disappointed.the girls really know how to groom a dog!
