Run the other way. We used these guys because they were who had worked on our furnace and plumbing with the previous owners of our house. Big mistake. Our furnace was making noises, big clanking noises and sounded like there was a lot of water built up (radiant heat)... A guy came and at first said everything looked good-- and that the noises were normal. Uhm, no. We told him to look again and he found out the "bladder" part was completely collapsed and needed to be replaced. Neat. My fiance spent half the time he was there helping him with this task, btw. He told us he serviced everything and that it looked good. We got the bill soon after for over $400- over $250 of it was LABOR. Two days later when it got colder again and the furnace kicked on, we had some of the same loud clanking noises and a lot of water built up. We called them back, thinking they would back up their work since it cost so freaking much. They had to replace a fan and whatnot- $214 in parts- we got a bill for $477. MORE LABOR!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? Not only are they overpriced, but they don't even back up their work. If a furnace is serviced, it should work properly when turned on next. I have been fighting with them with no response- told them I would not pay for more labor when it wasn't done right the first time, unnecessarily calling them back to our house. The furnace is still making noises like the lines need to be bled out, which he insisted I didn't need to have done (must have wanted us to have to call them back again so they could get more money out of us). I don't think so, "How". We will be finding someone who has values, integrity, and backs up their work. I can't believe they stay in business. I come from a small town with REAL "old fashion service" where people stand by their work and don't screw you over when you hire them for services.. Howe is not standing by their motto these days- old fashioned service is clearly seen differently in the city. I am finally biting the bullet just to get them off our backs with the "past due" bills since they clearly are avoiding my complaints. Which, I'm sure was their goal- you win, Howe. Stay away, I have heard this same story from various people.

I have used other contractors before but these guys are the pros. I was so tired of getting the run around from other companies in the past but Howe came in and saved the day. I had a massive water leak in the basement and they were there in record time to help me out. Not only did they fix the leak, but they also helped be clean up the mess. Thanks Howe. You are my new plumber!!!

Bad customer service. Receipts/invoices are not broken down to show labor and parts costs, and when this is requested, the costs are retroactively broken down to match the original arbitrary and exhorbitant prices. I have worked with numerous contractors in the Sioux Falls area, and I have generally been very pleased. Howe Plumbing is by far the worst experience I have ever had. I would not recommend them to ANYONE.
