Jake Mead is a hack. He'll take your money and leave your project in shambles. In some cases, not even get permits for the work, and when caught have his crew come pick up their gear in the middle of the night - never to be heard from again. They will insist that work is getting done ahead of schedule in order to get more money. They'll leave your project 25% done having paid out 90% of the invoices.
Run the opposite direction from these guys. Also operating under Mead Enterprises. I overheard on a jobsite that he wasn't paying his employees either. He's a real piece of garbage.
