Service and Trust paid to me, a perfect stranger

With a vacation smile on my face, I strolled into the shop on a weekday morning. The owner said, I'm going to put a bigger smile on your face, I need you to ride a bike, a special bike. Moments later I was measured up and set free to ride a $ 1,500 bike around the parking lot without supervision. I couldn't have been more impressed with the inventory, the bike that I rode or the trust the owner had in me to return the bike which I did. I'd highly recommend doing business with this bsiness!

Love the place!

Wonderful helpful owner. It took me back to my youth and I did not feel hassled. Allowed me to try out several bikes. Good place to me-amber.

What an incredible mess...(did I mention its messy)!?

I dont think I have ever seen a bike shop or any shop so messy. It seems impossible that someone would work in such disarray. I suppose at some point it must be cleaned or it wouldnt be possible to move around the shop without tripping. Still, use caution to avoid stepping on bike parts or tools, or flotsam and jetsam.I wouldnt call the service punctual, but they have a great selection of recumbents, 3 wheel and folding bikes.

Good but disorganized

Angle Lake Cyclery has been accomodating to my needs and good in tending to my Catrike recumbent. Be prepared to wait and make sure that you get enough time with the help, since they seem rushed.

"One of the best bike shops on the planet?"

I would say that they are one of the most unique bike shops on the planet. To that add that overall they are the best bike shop that I have done business with in the Seattle-Tacoma area, in terms of knowledge, skill, and inventory. Racing, touring, mountain, recumbent, and specialty bikes--they have it all. Except for cycling apparel, I have stopped shopping online and buy virtually all of my hardware and accessories from Angle Lake Cyclery. My next bike purchase will probably be from them as well. I will get a fair price and be certain that it be delivered with everything I personally want and need on it, or built into it.So if you live in the Seattle Tacoma area, pragmatically they are indeed "one of the best bike shops on the planet!"

Lousy Service

Called a week ago to see why they overcharged me for the bike I purchased. The anwering machine was full so I could not leave a message. It is still full today. You can't leave a message.

Disappointed

I bought a Trek at this shop. Don't expect REI service or organization here. Be careful walking into the store and best of luck trying to make your way to the counter. Bikes and bike parts, new and used, big, small, and tiny are everywhere. I have been in the store twice waiting 15-20 minutes each time before getting help. When he finally got to me the first time to buy my bike, he rushed through the sale (I had previously spoken to him on the phone to arrange what I wanted)because there was a couple other people "waiting" for something to buy. I asked him why the front wheel did not roll freely. He said it will loosen as I ride. After taking the bike for my first ride, my front wheel came loose but luckily not off. By the end you could not roll the front wheel by hand. So I took it back and he fixed it.I did not get a receipt for my bike and accessories. Now I realized he overcharged me a couple hundred dollars. I tried to call him. No answer and answering machine is "full".
