MIDDLE. In his FBI career Mr. Hahn led an investigation that located and penetrated the first active terrorist safe house found in America. This photograph, taken from a video feed of a discreet camera inside the safe house, depicts two of the terrorists engaged in building firing circuits for improvised explosive devices ( IEDs ). This evidence, gathered under a Federal Court order, led to the arrest and conviction of these conspirators. Mr. Hahn received the Attorney General's Distinguished Service award for his work in counter-terrorism in this case. BOTTOM. Mr. Hahn was among the U.S. investigators who responded to the bombing of Pan Am 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland in 1988. Mr. Hahn provided training to Scottish police and assisted in processing materials from the aircraft cargo hold in search of evidence of the bombing. R. Examination of materials from the cargo hold of the aircraft led to discovery of key evidence in the form of fragments of circuit board that were recovered with and embedded in clothing from luggage on board. Mr. Hahn is President of R. Hahn & Company, Inc, an investigative and security consulting corporation. Mr. Hahn also works as an instructor and lecturer for various U.S. Government agencies including the U.S. Department of State. Mr. Hahn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from De Paul University, Chicago, Illinois. He has also attended several U. S. Government courses in explosives, terrorism, counterintelligence and management. He also attended immersion language training and is fluent in Spanish.
