Horrible bedside manners

If you have a special needs child stay far away from this practice. Long waiting. By long I left the appointment 2 hours after I got in and didnt even finish the evaluation. Dr. Geiger would not bother to explain my daughter what she expected her to do, she treated her pretty much like a piece of furniture. My daughter ended up scared this doctor would hit her with the "stick" (prism) she was holding above her head and I had to hear my daughter the whole ride back saying "no touch, no hit" Don't expect to find a single toy, children book, or anything child related, there is nothing at all to make kids comfortable or distracted at the exam or during the long wait. And after a few minutes she had made the decision that we would be leaving with a prescription for glasses. Have you heard of cortical vision impairment Dr. Geiger? You can see all the big inventory of glasses out there so don't be surprise you will be given a prescription after a few minutes. I even called ahead of time to make sure she had experience with special needs kids and I was told she did. I don't think so. We have been at 4 different neuro ophtalmologist before including one abroad and 3 different optometrist and my daughter has never been scare of them. What a waste of our time. She will bill for hers of course. As an adult I expect the doctors to explain what they would do to me as I am not used to be treated as a piece of furniture, you would think she would be more careful and have some compassion for a 5 year old kid. Nope, too much to ask I guess.
