Took my infinity speakers for rebuild to them. I had purchased new in 1980 and they needed to be redone. I found them to be courteous , friendly and very knowledgeable. Said it would take about 3 weeks and time estimate was right on the mark. I definitely will go back with other vintage stereo equipment when it needs service.

I agree entirely with the review written by AudiophileSince10. I too have taken a number of items to these guys for repair. While they are somewhat slow, there are more important considerations than getting something back fast. As Audiophile*** has said, they are truly a resource! How many places do you know who can and will repair something as esoteric as a Revox A700 tape deck? A TEAC X7-R tape deck? A Crown DC300 power amplifier? None, right?

Well, fortunately, that's not right? Gary and Jim at Audio Wizard can and will repair even the most outlandishly rare pieces of high quality vintage audio equipment, and . . . AND they'll do it right!

I love these guys. I've heard complaints that they're not friendly, or rude, etc. Let me say something about that: They are gentlemen and very courteous. If someone is rude to them, I suspect they may respond in kind, but they're good guys and deserve courtesy and respect!

I have taken numerous pieces of equipment down to these guys on several occasions and they have always done a great job. My last was a high-end piece of YAMAHA equipment that started sounding "distorted." As soon as the pre-amp hit their counter, the technician said, "Those have a few known items." He was right: All the solder joints inside connecting the main boards were done at the factory by a robot. After he spent a couple hours resoldering all of them by hand, the unit runs like it did when I bought it 30 years ago. WHOO-HOO! No parts charge. Only labor.

As a lifelong audiophile, I cannot overemphasize what a true resource these guys are to people with great old audio equipment that is acting up. PLEASE use them and keep them in business because there are few businesses like these guys anymore. Invest in your great old equipment and invest in two hard-working local technicians who are a rarity. I have a few other items I want them to work on and will be heading down after I move into my new home.

Avoid Audio Wizard

I originally thought I found the perfect place to repair my aging audio equipment. I was so wrong. After multiple repair jobs and $175 (easily the price of a new piece), my cd player was still broken. Not only are they incompetent in technical ability, but the guy who works the counter actually called me an a-hole when I complained to him. I feel like a fool for ever walking in the place. Amazes me they're still in business. Don't walk, RUN from this place.
