Scottdale Elementary School offers educational programs in various subjects, including special education, spelling and vocabulary, life skills, math, social studies and physical education. It has an annual enrollment of more than 700 students in grades kindergarten through six. The school is a division of the Southmoreland School District and is located in Scottdale, Pa. It has a library that offers an accelerated reader program to improve the quantity and quality of reading practice engaged in by the students. The school has a parent-teacher association that foster better working relationships among parents, school staff and the community. Scottdale Elementary School offers a variety of sports activities, such as softball, baseball, tennis, volleyball, and track and field.
