I have been a student at ISBA since March of 2011. I have found a true family of friends and mentors. Students go on to graduate and we all share tears of joy and tears because we will miss being together. Dr. Doran is no exception when it comes to shedding tears for her girls that have become successful in achieving their goals. As a doctor, Dr Doran is able to teach us how and why the procedures we are taught, have the positive effects on the skin. We are not only taught how to assist in making the skin healthier, but to truly love the skin we are performing on. I will be graduating knowing I am "knowledgeable", intelligent" and "the best" at what I do for a living. These are the words that Dr.Doran and her staff of teachers tell us every day.I am 56 and recently lost my husband. The only reason I share this is that I truly know how precious life and the time we have are. Making this career change, in order to love what I do, was the best decision I could have made. Being professional make-up artist working on commercial productions and weddings for over 15 years, I have always had a passion for skin care. Although I have obtained a college degree, I have always wanted my license in esthetics so that I could provide additional skin care services to my clients. Because I am very particular, I wanted the best school around. I knew that Dr. Doran and ISBA would be a perfect fit for me because of their advanced curriculum, unique techniques, and hand-on learning approach to esthetics.Today, I am grateful for the education that I have received through ISBA and for my extremely knowledgeable and dedicated instructors that helped me rise to the top of the industry.
