We had a service man out to repair our dryer in May because it wasn't spinning/working at all. The repair man was rude, but we thought the dryer was fixed so we let it slide. Shortly thereafter, we noticed that clothes weren't getting dry in spite of the dryer running. So we tried to schedule another service call. Again, the guy was rude on the phone. The service man canceled our first appointment and rescheduled us. The second appointment we had to cancel/reschedule because we unexpectedly had to attend a funeral during our 4-hour service window (the guy on the phone was extremely rude and insensitive about this, too.) So now it's July, and the service man was supposed to show up between 8AM and noon. At 12:30 we called to see if he was still coming because it was past our window, and he still wasn't there; and as always, we was very rude on the phone. He finally showed up at 1:15 PM. He looked at the dryer and told us the repair would be $154, including a $99 fee for the service call. We asked if he would be able to waive the service fee since the issue wasn't fully fixed when we came out the first time. He said no: his whole argument being that in May we didn't tell him that the dryer wasn't heating, and even if we had, we were past the 30 day repair warranty. To which we pointed out that back in May the dryer wasn't working at all, so we had no way of knowing if it was heating or not; and we had originally called for the service call several weeks earlier. The repair man became irate, said we "wasting his time", and stormed out of the house. I've never experienced a repair person from ANY company be so rude and unprofessional. Needless to say, we'll now be hiring someone else to do the repair.

We received great customer service when shopping for our new washer and dryer at Advanced Maytag Home Appliance in Schaumburg. Rich made sure we knew what we were buying, and guided us to a washer and dryer that were best fit for our family. We had a minor issue with the installation, but we received immediate action to resolve the issue. Bud assured us that he would solve the minor problem, he handled everything with accuracy and professionalism. We couldn't be happier, I would highly recommend this Appliance Center.

Called at the recommmendation of the service person that came to my house yesterday to set up the appointment time and/or time slot for the follow up visit with the part he ordered. An extremely rude man answered the phone and told me my request was absurd and that the technician would not have told me to call to request a time, as this company does not adhere to such a policy, then he told me to call Nicor for another provider because he was cancelling my appointment. What?!? I asked to speak with the owner and/ or manager and he said he was the owner and THEN hung up on me. All because I wanted a time slot on when to expect the follow up visit. FYI, I had a time slot provided my first visit. I have never been spoken to so rudely before. I find it absurd you can run a business like this hanging up on customers because they ask what time to expect your visit. Unbelievable!

If you need service or a new washer, go to Advanced Maytag in Schaumburg. Nice family owned business, I talked to one of the brothers (Rich) and got a great deal on a new Maytag washer. Way better than the price I was quoted at ABT.

I needed a new washer and dryer and after doing some research online, I decided on a Maytag Bravos model pair.I checked pricing at all the big stores, and then for the heck of it decided to try Advanced Maytag since they are right in my neighborhood.Not only were they friendly and professional, but they actually save me almost $100.00 over HH Gregg and ABT. I will definitely go there first next time!
