My wife noticed that the battery light came on, so she pulled in to Scappoose Les Schwab to get the battery checked. I replaced the battery a year ago, so it should have been fine. They replaced the battery, kept the one I put in, and sent my wife on her way. Apparently all they did was sell us a battery, and check nothing, because the next day the battery light was still on, and the car died on her in traffic. An encounter with the police, an expensive tow, a cab ride, and probably the expense of a new battery could have been avoided if they had just CHECKED like my wife asked, and replaced the alternator that had gone out. Les Schwab would be deeply, deeply ashamed and embarrassed.

So I went into this location the other day for some work on my car. It didn't seem like a professional business to me. There were lots of people giggling behind the counter and a big black dog running around the store! What is this? I have been using Les Schwab for nearly 30 years and this store has really shaken my faith in them. By sitting back and watching the shenanigans, I could only assume that a man named Justin was either the manager or a very lazy employee! Outside, it looked like they were pretty busy, but he was up front having a good ol' time. If this man is the Manager, or even Assistant Manager, I think he needs a wake-up call. This is not how a store should run, in my opinion. If something doesn't change there soon, my family and I will take our business elsewhere. As for the big dog, what the heck! I watched as the dog ran around the showroom and I seen the look on others faces, some were annoyed and I had even seen a young mother have to quickly pick her child up because she was scared of what this dog would do! The dog may not have snapped at anyone, maybe he's a good dog but who knows! Not a place for animals! This is ridiculous. OH! When the damn dog barks, it's loud as the noise carries in a showroom like that. I am about at my wits end with this store. Something needs to be re-evaluated.
