Very disappointed in the professionalism. It took over a week for them to fax my health records to the clinic I moved to.

I had to take my dog in for an emergency appt after she cut her ear open. The doctor saw her as soon as we got here. He was so good with her and had her patched up ready to go home in no time. I am so happy I made the decision to take her companion pet!

Stay away

Dr. Robinson loves ordering excessive and unnecessary lab test. Missed diagnosed my dog. Threw my pup on the table after surgery and wanted more test for a simple infection .Go somewhere better.

Competency AND Compassion

We loved our big, Black Lab. He was nearing 13 and we'd had him since he was 6 wks old and showed no signs he would grow into the 118# giant he became, but he was never w/out a huge sense of play and love for all. When we noticed the lumps we immediately took him to Dr Robison @ Companion Pet Clinic, Scappoose. Dr Frank told us they were "fatty tumors" and almost certainly NOT a problem - BUT - if he got any hard, solid lumps, that could be bad. About a year later, he did ... but so long as he enjoyed life, we went on enjoying one another. Then came the time Tucker couldn't move without obvious great pain and we made the awful decision to help. We called Dr Frank & he told us to come right in, which we did - in tears. Before we left our now pain free friend, our vet was also in tears. All the hands that touched him that day were hands of love. Doc Frank & CPC Scappoose is our vet FOREVER.

Horrific Experience

We took our cat in to be euthanized. It was after-hours for our regular vet and our kitty began suffering in the final stages of her kidney disease. Dr. Robison was callous to us and inhumane to our baby. He didn’t say a word to us before he injected her. Once injected, she began to writhe and shriek in pain. We were in shock as this is not how it should be when an animal is “put to sleep.” After holding her struggling body for about 30 seconds, she finally took her last painful breath. Dr. Robison looked as us, turned around and walked out without saying a word. We just stood there holding our dead baby in utter disbelief. If you love your animals, DO NOT take them here.

Terrible

I would give them zero stars if it were an option. On the phone they gave me a rough estimate of cost for an office visit and antibiotics for what we assumed was an upper respiratory infection. I understand that that isn't absolute when they haven't seen the cat yet. After explaining his symptoms, nothing was mentioned about x-rays being possible, just to expect to pay for an exam and antibiotics. When my husband took him in, the vet picked the cat up and said he was taking him for xrays, and just left the room. There was no discussion, he didn't ask for consent, nothing. When my husband asked the receptionist about it when he got the bill for the x-rays, she just said that she'll mention to the doctor that he has to get consent next time, but that he still had to pay since services were rendered, or they will keep our cat. They billed us over $90 for two x-rays without getting any form of consent. We've been there a couple of times for various reasons, and had previously been dis

I used to take my dog to anoth...

I used to take my dog to another vet and was not happy with the way they dismissed my concerns. The first time I went to Companion Pet Clinic in Scappoose they listened to my concerns. Because of them, my dog has regained her sight and had a large tumor removed, She is like a new dog and full of life. I will continue to take her to the caring people of Companion Pet. Thank you!

wrong diagnosis, overpriced, incompetent

I sold a purebred puppy to a couple in Scappoose. When the puppy got diarrhea, they took it to CPC in Scappoose. They did tests to the tune of $175.00, and never even correctly diagnosed the problem - a simple case of coccidia, a very common puppy illness, and very easy to treat. When taken to my vet, the first thing she did was test for coccidia, and that was the problem. CPC in Scappoose did unnecessary testing in order to increase the cost, gave the customer an estimate of $350-$700 to treat a "virus" that didn't exist, and caused them immeasurable worry and frustration. Don't EVER go to CPC in Scappoose!

Dr. Robison

We lost two of our cats to kidney disease in the last month. Dr. Robison and the staff at companion pet clinic were wonderful. We want to thank them for their caring and help at a very difficult time and we look forward to a long relationship as we have 4 other cats that need the loving care they have to offer.
