The mission of the Recycling Complex is to provide a venue for collecting recyclables, and to educate the public regarding the importance of waste reduction, conservation of natural resources, reducing landfill space through a series of tours, school classroom visits, videos, and educational literature. The recycling facility offers a variety of recycling opportunities such as collection of aluminum cans; steel products; plastics - #1 and #2; scrap metals; and white goods such as washers, dryers, stoves, etc. The Recycling Complex also houses an Education Center which provides numerous literature and brochures on recycling, information on the various recycling programs within the city, different recycling projects, as well as several displays and exhibits. Also available is information on landfilling, waste to energy, refuse collection, waste monitoring, and other sanitation concerns. We offer curbside and drop off service.
