After shopping and walking the river front, we were tired and hungry and stopped at the River House for a late lunch. It was about 1:30 p.m. so the rush was over and the restaurant not very busy. A waiter told us he would seat us momentarily after he cleaned some tables. There were a number of clean tables in view but he disappeared for quite a while. We were weary and ready to leave when at last he appeared again and approached us. He was called away by a bored looking supervisor who looked right through us as if we did not exist and sent the waiter on some errand for him. We walked. This is no way to treat a guest. We should have been offered a seat and some water. We felt that the waiter was a rookie but the supervisor was clearly not and ignored all rules of common decency. Their food may be delicious but their attitude is rotten.

Pleasant but expected decor similar to others on the walk. A bit dark and I was expecting not much in the way of service or food. Was I pleasantly surprised. Our hostess seated us and responded pleasantly to our request to have a table by the windows (dinner entertainment which is worth seeing). Our server ANDI was superb in every aspect. Welcoming, full knowledge of the menu, made positive recommendations and met our every need. She did not rush us and we enjoyed a wonderful dinner The food was excellent. I had steak and fried scallops. Steak cooked to a perfect medium (hot pink center) my wife salmon. All excellent. Deserts were nothing to write mom about. Wonderful experience.
