I love PARS Oriental Rugs. They are the only store in town that provides beautiful, one of a kind rugs for my home. They range in prices and sizes. I have a large one in my living room to a small placemat one in my sun room. I always go during sales as I have gotten a $10,000 rug for half the price.Plus, I get my rugs cleaned yearly with them and have never had an issue.

Personally, I feel as if the below commenter is being racist against the owners due to being foreign. They have never seemed rude or incompetent to me and instead been friendly and respectful.

Know what you're buying!!

I read the other reviewer's post and had to write my own. I own several PARS rugs and have had NO issues with PARS or my rugs. I can't believe the previous poster expected them to remove dog mess from the rug. The rug was ruined after the dog got sick on it. Normally, it's easy to clean up a dog's mess with a bit of Nature's Own and lots of blotting. The urine or acidic vomit from your dog probably didn't help matters. PARS didn't ruin it. Go to Culver and buy something cheap for the dog to do its business. Go to PARS and buy something beautiful that will last a long time.

Incompetent and Rude

Pars has been doing business in Savannah for many years and they had a good reputation, I thought. My boyfriend and I bought our first Persian rug last year. When it needed cleaning (because we have a long haired dog) we called Pars up and they came right away and picked up the rug and the price was reasonable. The man from the company that served us was quite pleasant. When we needed rug cleaning again because our dog was ill and peed on the rug a few times, we called them back. They scheduled us for a Saturday morning pickup and forgot about us. To their credit, when I called them to find out what happened they came over right away and picked up the rug. This was a different guy. I told them the dog story and he handed me a receipt and left. On Monday, Pars called and said the rug had run. I was very angry (because I knew my expensive rug was now worthless) and asked him why and he said it was because they used a lot of water to get out the dog smell. I asked him why he washed the rug that way and he said we wash it that way because of the smell. I told him that I didn't understand why he hadn't explained the situation to me before he ruined my rug and let me know there would be a risk of this happening so at least I had a choice (and they didn't test it before throwing a bunch of water on it, obviously). He didn't say anything and then started babbling on about how it would look more beautiful than before and that it ran just a little bit. I asked to see the rug and then said it was in Bluffton and that it had to dry and they would call me. After a couple of weeks they dropped off the rug and I told them I would not pay them until I looked at it. So the "it just ran a little bit" was a lie because the rug was in terrible shape. Again I asked them why they hadn't warned me or told me about the risk beforehand, he didn;t have an answer other than blame me for not buying a "quality" rug and that because I bought it at an auction it was not going to be quality and that they would credit us if we wanted to buy one of their rugs to replace it. They had messed up and not tested the rug or had followed up with me and wasted $4,000 of my money and they were just blaming me for the fact that I bought a "cheap" rug. They act smug and thoughtless (even a second rate dry cleaner would test a spot on a blouse before cleaning it) and give you a bunch of crap to cover up their mistake. Unfortunately, I didn't have pictures of the rug before otherwise I would have taken them to small claims court. ALSO, ladies, they are especially demeaning to women. GO to Culver Rug... Never again with Pars. I will tell everyone I know...
