Sent by my home warranty company. Took forever to get parts and attempt the repair. Left before fixing the problem b/c they "were too busy". I have only partial cooling and a loud hum throughout the house from a new valve they installed. The mechanic admitted they lost a key technician this year and they can no longer keep up with the workload. DON'T USE THEM!

We had a heating issue and Air Mechanix came out within an hour of us calling our home warranty. They were extremely knowledgable, professional, friendly and quick to correct the problem. We were very happy with the service and will recommend this company in the future!

Not so good

This company replaced our a/c unit that was covered by our home warranty. Upon their recommendation they also replaced some duct work that was not covered by our warranty. The duct work they did cost us over $1100. When we had problems with our a/c a few months down the road I called them to have them look at it. They said that since we'd had the unit installed under a home warranty that this would null their standard 1 year parts and labor warranty and that they were therefore not responsible for any malfunction.

Turns out the problem was not with the unit, but with the duct work that they had installed [or NOT installed as it would turn out].

1. They did not fit the ducting to the air return so we were pulling 90+ degree, unconditioned air into our house.

2. More than 90% of the ducting was old - ducting that they'd reported to have replaced.

3. The ducting was laying on the ground in many places - not properly installed or repaired. Airflow should go straight when possible, our ducts were kinked everywhich way b/c they were not properly straightened and fastened into place.

4. There were numerous air leaks in the ducting that caused cold air to leak out and hot air to be pulled in.

The work was so bad it was actually recommended to us that we sue to recover the money we paid. Fortunately for them I don't have that kind of time.
