The commercial relocation activity of Granite City Moving & Storage extends beyond simply loading and unloading trucks. Comprehensive planning and coordination are critical, especially in the instance of massive moves where sizable crews are required. Downtime resulting from inadequate preparation will unnecessarily increase the cost of any move
Storage
Climate Controlled Storage - We offer the newest, cleanest and safest storage facilities in Central Minnesota. Our warehouses are alarmed and monitored 24 hours a day. In addition, surveillance cameras continuously record activity inside and outside our facility. Our heated and climate controlled steel warehouses are equipped with fire detection/protection equipment.
Household Goods Storage - When you place your household goods in our storage, we do everything possible to protect your belongings. Upholstered couches and chairs are shrink-wrapped and placed in specially designed racking to prevent the fabric from becoming crushed or soiled. Leather, vinyl and velvet furniture is padded and shrink-wrap is used only to secure the padding. This allows the material to breathe. The rest of your household goods are stored in large wooden vaults. All furniture is padded and inventoried before being vaulted. We feel the combination of racks and vaults provide the cleanest, safest way to store your belongings.
Commercial Storage - We have developed many custom solutions for our commercial customers. Most of these solutions take advantage of the transportation and delivery services we can provide. Some of the capabilities we have include: inventory, order fulfillment (including bill of materials), receiving, shipping, light maintenance and repair, assembly and delivery.

Provided by YP.comThe staff were very friendly and helpful. They paid special attention to the late start due to my work schedule. The crew that did our move were friendly, fast and especially careful with our more fragile pieces!

Provided by YP.comI will say the movers were very efficient and timely with moving everything. There were several pieces of furniture that were damaged during the move. The back of my couch had a huge gouge in it, one of the cusions for my couch has a tear in it, my dining room table had a huge chip in the corner, one of my pieces of bathroom furniture has a huge scratch and several corner chips in it, a small kitchen island I have has the enitre handle torn off with no way to repair it, the door frame entering my apartment has gouges in it, the wall outside of my apartment door has a huge gouge going about a 1/4 inch deep. Considering every piece of furniture they moved with the exception of a 5 shelf bookshelf, one section of my couch, and a 3 shelf bookshelf was damaged during the move I would not recommend or hire them again.

Major and minor damage to furniture that was moved by this company and stored at their facility. Took almost 9 months for resolution. After approximately six months of unreturned phone calls and incomplete promises, I had to contact BBB for assistance in reaching a resolution.. Only apology I received was from the delivery guys that delivered my final piece of furniture after repairs were completed and they weren't the ones that caused the damage nor were they in a management position. I would rate this company very low on customer service.
