I have known larry for a long time. I thought he was the best at repairing Ford cars. Was I WRONG! I brought my car to Larry for an ignition miss at low speed under light load. Day 1: I brought the car in the morning. I came back that afternoon,and Larry said he could not find the problem. I thought we were done and asked how much i owed him. He said nothing now and he wanted me to bring the car back tomorrow to do more tests. Day 2: I brought the car in the morning. When i went to pick up the car,larry said he still had not found the problem. He wanted me to bring it back in in the evening so he could have the car in the morning when it was cold. Larry assured me he could find the problem and fix it. He said he was going to check the spark plugs and the ignition coil. Day 3: I called Larry late in the afternoon and he told me he still could not find the problem. he told me the next step was to throw parts at it and that would be expensive. He told me he took my E-3 spark plugs out and put in autolite 25 copper plugs because they were original equipment. He also took out my Accel ignition coil and put an old one in that he had at the shop that he knew was good.I told larry I wanted my parts back and he said he would save them for me. I told him I could throw some parts at it so he let me take the car and to let him know what happens. Nothing worked . I went back to settle my bill . It was $100.00. I asked Larry for a break and he started yelling at me to get the F--K out of there and dont ever come back,dont pay me anything. I did not want to stiff him. I told his Mgr if he gave me my plugs and my coil back I would pay the $100.00. The Mgr came back with just the coil and told me Larry thru my plugs in the trash. At that point I just wanted to get out of there. I paid Larrys Mgr. the $100.00 and got a receipt. The next day i reinstalled my Accel coil and it was dead. Something happened to it from the time Larry took it off and the time I got it back. So, the bottom line is I still dont know what is wrong with my car and it is not fixed. I am out $100.00 to Larry. 8 E-3 spark plugs part #E3 42 $47.92 1 Accel ignition coil part #140012 $52.99 Minus the Autolite spark plugs Part # 25 $16.72 Total $184.19 Parts prices are from Advance Auto Parts. Thanks Larry
