Our healthy English Bulldog, Remington DIED on 5/31/18 due to neglect, being left outside too long at this facility. NO emergency call to a vet or emergency pet services once they noticed his tongue & mouth had already turned purple. They called us to say he was having breathing problems but did NOT disclose he was already suffocating. I asked if a vet needed to be called and they said we needed to decide that once we got there. Pure negligence! I explained to the woman on the phone that we were a half hour away, my daughter left to get him while I was still on the phone with her. Once she arrived they were helping other customers, she told them immediately who she was. They continued to help the other customers as I am sure they did not want them to see what had already happened to our dog. When they finally walked Remington out my daughter could see that he could NOT breathe at all and his face, tongue, mouth was blue/purple. She then carried him out to her car and put him down to open the door. Once she got him in the car she realized he was not breathing at all and had died. She screamed for help and one of their other customers ran in for help. The only person that attempted to call for emergency care was an actual customer. When we took our dogs into Dog World that morning, the very last thing the woman said to me was "I will keep him inside because you know how bulldogs are" . Our dogs were only going to go to daycare for a few days during some work that was going to be done in our home. We have asked for the 24/7 surveillance as advertised but it was never produced. We are sure they are covering up the actual amount of time he was left outside. I signed all their paperwork stating their $50 fee to transport a dog to the vet for emergency care if needed as well as $1,000 for vet services. We would have paid any amount to save our dog. I have since learned of other neglect / treatment of dogs at this facility owned by David Thomsen.
