Best Salads You Can Find

This restaurant looks like something you'd find at a truck-stop just off a stretch of highway in the middle of nowhere. The place looks like it was decorated from a jumble sale but it works in a kooky bohemian sort of way. The menu itself is sandwich/salad fare and they have some good lookng pastas. I had the chicken, cheddar and apple salad as it was recommended by my waitress. This is a dish I would have never chosen on my own. I'm so glad she made the recommendation. Wild greens tossed with crisp, tart green apple slices and a slightly sweet dressing are topped with shredded cheddar and big juicy chunks of freshly cooked chicken. It is poured over the salad while still piping hot and the contrast of the savory, sweet and tart flavors and the hot and cold is heavenly. I ate this huge salad in about ten minutes flat. I'm sure everything else on the menu is delightful, but when I return I will be having the salad again!

Cute with good food, but overpriced with mediocre service

Lazy Daisy is definitely cute - it has a secluded little patio with umbrellas and mosaic chairs, and is a great place for Sunday brunch, or to grab coffee and a snack with a friend to get away from the Starbucks routine. The selection of unique breakfasts and lunches is great, and the food is pretty good

Also a warning: it's pretty overpriced for what it is. I guess you're paying for the patio.
