The only body shop I go to in LA. The staff is super kind, helpful, and really good about keeping you updated on your repair(s). Great people and great work!

My wife was recently in an accident on the 405 near Santa Monica, while we were trying to sort out towing with the involved insurance companies a tow truck showed up. The guy seemed nice enough and was very helpful giving her a monologue about how reputable his company is and how they are partners with all the insurance companies, "don't worry you are in good hands" was his take home point. He towed us to Anthony's and once again we got all the talk about how reputable they were and how long they have been in business. Our car was brand new and had just turned 1000 miles so we wanted a shop that was authorized by the manufacturer to perform any work on it, this is when things changed. It soon became apparent that Anthony's is the equivalent of AMBULACE CHASERS, and EXTORTIONIST. After I became suspicious of the situation I spoke with a manger who was in full damage control, trying to convince me they were reputable, when he found out that we were having a different shop come for our car he had nothing to say and the conversation ended. When our preferred shop showed up for the car they demanded a cash payment near $1000 and would not release OUR car. We had to call around to rally all our resources, before someone from our insurance company was able to remind them that if they want to be a partner with said insurance company extortion is not acceptable. I have noticed several reviews from people that have had a similar experiences which speaks volumes about the fraudulent business practices I experienced at Anthony's. I am certain they patrol the 405 during rush hour looking for victims and I believe more people have experienced what I did without reporting it. Know your rights as a consumer if you share my experience report it to the L.A.P.D Automotive Fraud Detectives, and any consumer watch group you can think of. Social media is a great way to get the word out about CONS like this. I am sick of bottom feeders like this complicating a stressful process and profiting from others misfortunes! BOTTOM LINE: IF YOU ARE EVER IN AN ACCIDENT ON THE 405 REFUSE SERVICE FROM ANYONE AFFILIATED WITH ANTHONY'S! THEY ARE IN THE BUSINESS OF EXPLOITING PEOPLE IN VULNERABLE SITUATIONS!
