A Professional Fiduciary is a person who is licensed by the State of California to serve in a fiduciary capacity as an executor, trustee and/or agent under a power of attorney or advance health care directive. Fiduciaries are regulated by the Professional Fiduciaries Bureau, a licensing entity within the Department of Consumer Affairs. What does a Professional Fiduciary do? A Professional Fiduciary manages the personal, legal and financial affairs of others. These include paying bills and taxes, handling investments, management and distribution of trusts and estates for decedents’ estates, guardianship of minors and disabled adults, and conservatorship of incompetent individuals.
