Superior Super Warehouse is one of the largest independently owned chains of grocery supercenters in Southern California. The company is not a club and therefore no membership is required for customers to shop there. Superior opened its first store in Los Angeles during 1981. It currently operates more than 20 supermarkets to serve the community. Additional services the stores provide include ATM machines, Coin Star, money orders, money grams and lottery games. It carries name brand and private label products in its meat departments, Tortillerias, bakeries and produce departments. Superior Super Warehouse maintains its corporate headquarters in Santa Fe Springs, Calif.
