Last Friday I stopped by ACE Automotive after being disappointed from another automotive repair shop that I was going to since 1990. I thought I was bringing my Porsche to a repair shop that I had gone to about 6 years ago
I was wrong that repair shop had been closed for several years and I was at the wrong building. But God must have been looking out for me that day when I ended up at Ace Automotive. The first person that I met there was Shy who looked at my car as if he was working on it before I needed to ask. Shy spent a lot of his own time looking into the problems of my car. I was having problems with my convertible to not closing it had a binding motor that had it's own transmission. I googled the cost of this motor that was over $900.00 just for that motor. Any other repair shop would have charged me a lot more for the motor then they would have charged me for the labor and that might have cost me twice as much. That is what I was used to at the other repair shop that I had been going to for the last 28 years. But Shy replaced a broken gear by rebuilding that motor and that reduced my cost to half of what a new motor would cost, including parts and labor. I could not believe the job was done in less than four hours. And that included Shy finding the gear at a parts warehouse and repairing it. The stress on my motor was caused from a broken elastic strap from the convertible top. Shy repaired that part free of charge. I was so impressed with Shy I asked him to give me a repair quote for my back brakes. Shy quoted me only half of what I was quoted from the repair shop that I had been going to for the last 28 years, where I had spent tens of thousands of dollars with 5 different cars. Thank you Shy.

Robert, the owner, is an expert at explaining car details to a layman. Every time I asked, "what does that mean?", Robert took the time to carefully explain the problem to me, and I actually understood what he was talking about.

I have a 1974 corvette that had a few problems. The bigger problem was that I could not find a mechanic I could trust. I had already taken it to two other places which cost me $3k, and neither of them fixed the problems I was having. I took the vehicle to Ace Automotive in Santa Clarita. I could not have asked for a better experience.

Robert's amazing. I went through 5 mechanics before him and he was the only one who was able to find the problem with my car, charged very reasonable prices and fixed my car. He's very low key, doesn't scare you with a bunch of scenarios of what might be wrong, doesn't play the guessing game and gets things done in a timely manner. The office and garage are very clean, the mechanics are nice and for once I feel confident in a mechanics shop. I will be bringing all my vehicles to Ace Automotive.

We have been using Ace Automotive for 15 years. We have 3 cars to keep running and we keep our cars an average of 12 years and put about 200,000 miles on them. Robert and Charlie handle the scheduled maintenance at a fair price and the job is ALWAYS done right. At times we have brought cars in to be repaired and they have said "this is a recall" if you take it to the dealer they will repair it for free. How honest is that! We would never go anywhere else.

Robert, Charlie and gang are the best, most reliable, honest, knowledgeable, friendly and competent. I recommend Ace to everyone.

First the background: My 1987 Toyota broke down on the 5fwy north, just past the 14 fwy. I called AAA for a tow and asked them to recommend a shop near by, they towed me to Ace.This happened on a Tuesday morning, I got the phone call about 12 pm stating that the van had over heated and the head was blown. I went to talk with the Mechanic, who by the way just happened to be a Toyota mechanic for 12 years prior and he was excited to work on the van. I got my car back in a timely manner and it was running like new.

These guys are the real deal. Very honest, fair, considerate and they know what they are doing. They are the all around good guys. Hey everybody, don't look through the Yellow pages or ask your friends, just go to ACE. They have taken very good care of me and my cars. Charlie is well known for being the best mechanic in SCV. You can trust these guys. I don't say that often

The shop was very clean, the staff was very friendly and the mechanic even took his time and was careful dismantling my van due to the fact that there is a lot of electronics inside and wires everywhere, he was careful not to cut or have to remove any of them. I'm glad I came here.

I took my old van in and when I got the van back and it felt and sounded like new! the mechanic even fixed some issues i didn’t know about, including making the 4 wheel drive to work which hadn't previously worked since i purchased it last year. The van runs great, it went in with about 260,000 and he said it would last a long time.
