Not recommend unless you know exactly what you need

I need to replace 3 receptacles and 2 coil elements for my 30" KitchenAid cooktop. I saw the review by RonnieT24 (03/10/2008) so I think I can give the Premium Appliance a try. I brought the broken parts with me to Premium Appliance on July 7 and showed the gentleman behind the counter what I was looking for; he looked and was very helpful "selling" me the parts ("genuine whirlpool quality" receptacle and the coil element, the coil element has no label thou). However, when I asked him what if the parts does not work, he firmly responded "it will work". I asked twice and he ASSURED me it would work. I didn't have a chance to ask if I can return the parts if it does not work -- since he was so sure and already rang up the sale.... which is a BIG mistake I made (I learned the lesson now). He did NOT bother to tell me the parts CAN NOT be returned once purchase is done. If he had told me that I would definitely think twice and not go forward with the purchase. Or, I might just buy one to see if it works. I paid $100.67 total for the parts!

When I got home, the guy I hired to do the repair/replace job, told me that the switch of the cooktop also not working that I need to buy a new switch. So at that moment I decided not to fix them after all, instead I will just buy a new cooktop. I planned to drive back to Premium Appliance to return the parts but they closed at 5pm.

I went back to Premium Appliance the next day to return the parts (I didn't know their NO RETURN policy since he didn't mention nor warned me when I made the purchase). Everything is in the original package (I didn't even take out any item from the brown bag that was packed and handed to me by the gentleman at the Premium Appliance). Guess what, I was told “NO RETURN for electrical part is allowed!”, he also told me that it’s my responsibility to make sure exactly what I need before buying it. ??!! Hey, if I knew for sure why would I ask him twice "if it does not work?" in the first place? I felt that I was tricked and felt very stupid. If the gentleman is so "courteous" as ConnieT24 appraised then he could at least tell clients their NO RETURN policy to give client a chance making the right decision.

I leaned my lesson (a $100.67 lesson). I will not go to the small store any more and will only shop at Home Depot (where, by the way, I also bought two GE coil elements and returned/refund successfully without any questions!!) I guess if you know exactly what you are looking for then you can continue shop any where, but for someone like me then, big store is better so I can try and lean without being upset.

I post this comment because I believe there are many laymen like me.

Open Sundays, nice guys, reasonable prices.

The gentleman working the counter was very helpful and courteous and being open on Sunday these guys saved my day. I got a motor for my Maytag Neptune Washer and had it installed within an hour of purchase. The price was a little more than ordering online but let's see an online service get it to you within an hour of your first inquiry.
