I went Saturday to see a friends band play. Bouncers were at the door collecting money people were at the bar drinking. Apparently that wasn't enough revenue. Our friends band had to pay Velvet Jones for the "priveledge"to play there. Usually and I have been aquainted with the nightclub industry the fee at the door covers the expense of the band. The band doesn't pay to play if that were the case who would play out. So when you go to Velvet Jones understand the cover you pay does not go to the great band inside. The drinks you buy a percentage does not go to the band playing as most bars arrange. Velevet Jones pockets all of the money and charges the band to play at their so so establishment. I will never recommend or go there again.
