I discovered Calla Gold after a long period of frustration about my matrimonial jewelry. I had two rings I loved but neither of them fit and I didn't like how they looked together. I felt guilty about not liking them even though they were both my choice.
I live in a rural area and have small children- going into a brick and mortar jeweler is literally impossible for me. I started searching online for my ring fit problems and found Calla. I was immediately drawn in by her website which is truly a compendium of jewelry wisdom. I began working with Calla, over the phone, via email, and through the post, and she has been solving my jewelry problems ever since.
Calla is thorough and an excellent communicator. She listens to the story of each jewelry problem, examines the piece with expertise, and carefully explains the possible solutions. She answers my many questions clearly so I always understand where we are at in our project, and what I can expect.
Even so, her work always exceeds my expectations. Calla has done custom bales, heirloom restoration, and ring band design for me, and each piece has exceeded my expectations. She accurately estimates the cost of the project and her prices are excellent. She and Jeremy take care of my jewelry at every step, including expert shipping.
It is very empowering to be able to work with someone like Calla from across the state, as these services simply would not be available to me any other way. Calla's work has helped me see the possibilities in my own jewelry and her influence is spreading to my new acquisitions as well. If there's something funny about a piece of jewelry, an issue with fit, condition, or style, I know that's the kind of thing Calla and I can work on together. Calla's creative ideas have opened up my mind and I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with her. I am enjoying my jewelry more than ever, thanks to Calla!

I found Calla Gold off of her blog when I googled for a spot in Santa Barbara to find a moissanite gem. After reading a knowledgeable review of the pro's and con's of a moissanite ring I realized it was by a jeweler in the area and gave her a call. She was just as friendly and just as knowledgeable as her blog had portrayed.

We chatted and I let her know what I was after an engagement ring that would make my fiancée's jaw drop, but on a budget. It took 2 meetings to find the right one. The whole time Calla in no way pressured me out of my budget. Giving me expert advice as well as making sure that I had booked a hiding photographer for the proposal. I grabbed 10 of her business cards, and have given every one of them out. I can't recommend her enough.

I don't live in the Santa Barbara area, so I shipped off my rings to her via the post office and hoped for the best. I was not disappointed! She did a beautiful job on merging a new wedding band with my grandmother's 100-year-old engagement ring. She got my vision in a short phone call and what arrived today is exactly what I wanted. Thank you, Calla, for creating a wearable piece of jewelry that I will treasure for the rest of my life! You can trust Calla with your gems and your loved mementos.

Calla has helped me so much with putting my jewelry into "fun" mode. She's given me permission to casualize some of my pieces like gold and pearls. I am now wearing them with jeans... otherwise, the necklace would just have been sitting there waiting for the perfect outfit. She has given me great ideas for repurposing some of my jewelry.

I love that Calla Gold comes to my office (or home) and picks up my jewelry repairs. She's my personal jeweler. Event though I don't have many things needing repairs, some inherited jewelry and some gemstone replacements, I feel like Calla gives me the same level of service she would give the owner of the Hope Diamond. I love looking at her jewelry designs, too.

I was visiting Santa Barbara and needed to have a necklace and ring repaired so I looked up reviews on local jewelers. Calla was the only one to receive 5 stars from everyone so after doing a bit more research, I decided to give her a try. She is professional, courteous, efficient, knowledgeable, and has very obvious talent as jewelry designer. I am in town often and will definitely use her again!

I met Calla Gold the jewelry designer and owner of Calla Gold Jewelry through my friend Jackie who raved about her. I didn't really feel I needed jewelry at the time, but Jackie said just get with her about your jewelry repairs and see where it goes.

I called her and she was easy to make an appointment with and she soon came to my home. I had three little jewelry fixes, two chains to be soldered and a post to be replaced. Stupid stuff. Calla then asked to see any jewelry that wasn't being worn even if it wasn't broken. I brought out my inherited stuff and Calla helpfully discussed what to do with dated designs and which designs were classic enough to be timeless and OK to wear. I ended up having the 'classics' sized and polished and am getting compliments wearing them. Calla suggested matte finishing an older piece, that made it up to date and now I love wearing it. I turned in a few pieces for gold recycle credit which helped pay for the work done. I'm doing this review because Calla's style of service where she gets your unworn jewelry fixed up, re-designed and tweaked around so it's useful and pretty again is unique and really helped me.
