The American Legion is one of the nation s largest veteran service organizations in the United States. Located in Sandusky, Ohio, the organization works to mentor and sponsor youth programs, promoting a national security to the fellow service members and veterans. The American Legion offers a series of programs in Americanism, children/youth, national security/foreign relations, veterans affairs/rehabilitation and community service. Its Family Support Network provides assistance to service personnel and families whose lives have been directly affected by America's war on terror.
