I had Rodgers Trash Service for 10 years. I always pay my bill 6 months at a time. I sent Rodgers a check at the end of June 2018 for service from July through December 2018. Shortly after I sent it out, I received a letter from Rodgers that they had sold out to American Waste Control. I immediately sent a letter to Rodgers stating that we would not be switching to American but would stay with them through the month of July and our new service with Shipley Container would begin on August 1, 2018. I asked for a refund for $100, which would be for the months of August through December 2018. I never heard from Rodgers. In August, I sent another letter asking for a refund of the unused portion of $100. I still have not heard from them.
Then, last weekend, we received a bill for $20 from American for service we had NEVER requested and NEVER received. I wrote to American telling them they owe us $100 for the unused portion. They called and said that they didn't buy the accounts, so they don't owe us and suggested I call Rodgers.
Well if American didn't buy the accounts, then why did I get a bill from them and why did they just send out someone to pick up the trash receptacle?
Someone, Rodgers or American, owes me $100. I can and will post this to every social media page I can to let others know what thieves these companies are.
