first of all it takes forever for them to cook your food, which i understand in terms of quality but i'll explain that further. I went to pay for my food today and i gave them over the amount to even out the change, but they still shorted me 50 cents, (mind you this was not a one time thing). as for their food, it is decent at best, i admit some of their food is good enough to be satisfactory but do not order their burrito's they are empty and full of lettuce and that is done to hide the fact that they screw you on the meat. Today I ordered the taquitos, i'll tell you this much, if you have a costco membership go to costco and buy the 20 pack of taquitos instead, in fact i think the costco brand tastes better. I asked what comes with the taquitos, she mentioned cheese, but there was no cheese on them at all. I have been disappointed with them again and again, not to mention their prices are pretty expensive for what you get. If you live in the San Marcos area, i suggest going to Mr. Tacos off twin oaks, or Santanas off San Marcos Blvd instead. I tried giving Lupita's more than one chance and considering that it is literally across the street from me you would think I would go there to get my Mexican Food, but to be honest with you, I'd rather drive 10 minutes out of the way and get quality filling mexican food somewhere else. By no means am I trying to ruin a family business, but you just wont be happy with the quality/quantity of what you pay for, im sorry but that's the truth.

I went to Lupita's Mexican Food after the great reviews I had heard from friends. The restaurant is very clean, cozy and the service is excellent. The food was nothing short of great; it was fresh, flavorful and healthy. I used to not be a big fan of Mexican food because I've always thought it was greasy and heavy, but am more than happy to have found a restaurant that has taken it to another level.
