My family has enjoyed this Bakery for nearly 2 decades now. Our favorite cake, of course, is their burnt almond cake. We love this cake so much, we passed on a traditional tiered wedding cake for my sister's wedding and purchased 2 sheet cakes that fed over 100 people. Ironically - a lot of the guests were judgemental when they saw a sheet cake as the wedding cake - but all everyone could say when they ate it was how delicious it was. After the wedding, I received nearly 20 different requests from some of the guests of the wedding - where did we get the cake from.

I have been eating Burnt Almond cake from this bakery since I was a little girl and it has never failed to please me (except when they accidenty gave me the chocolate variety instead of regular white). I honestly haven't eaten anything else from them, but I'm sure the rest is good too.

I'm having a large burnt almond cake made for my graduation party, and I will probaby have one made for my wedding!

Besides their famous burnt almond cake, they have many tasty treats like brownies, eclairs, cream puffs, and all sorts of cakes, cookies, danishes, and breads. I've been a customer for over 20 but the never-ending price increases have just about crossed the line of not being worth the price anymore.

The ONLY burnt almond cake in the world... it's my favorite cake. I miss it since moving to Grants Pass. Oregon, but had my mother-in-law bring me one yesterday. Dick's suggested she freeze it before the drive, and it was still the best cake in the whole world. the ladies I work with loved it too. wanted to know where I got it, told them it was from San Jose. Now they want to know if the cake can be shipped. Will call to find out.

The burnt almond cake is absolutely the best. My family has been ordering this cake from Dick's Bakery for years. I recommend Dick's Bakery to everyone.
